Fighting out of: Boston, Massachusetts

Camp: Team SityodtongKenny Florian is a muay thai and jiu jitsu fighter who made a name for himself on the first season of the Ultimate Fighter, making it all the way to the finals before losing to Diego Sanchez. Florian began to concentrate on martial arts following college, earning a Brazilian Jiu jitsu black belt from Gracie Barra's Roberto Maia. After starting his career with a 2-1 record (the loss coming to UFC veteran Drew Fickett), he was enrolled in the Ultimate Fighter as a middleweight.
Following his loss to Diego Sanchez, Kenny would hit a three win streak over Alex Karalexis, Kit Cope and Sam Stout that saw him go from a middleweight fighter down to lightweight. The UFC had just re-introduced the division and gave Florian a shot at the vacant title, pitting him against Sean Sherk. Florian would lose a decision to Sherk.
Since then, Florian has gone 5-0, including wins over Din Thomas, Joe Lauzon, and Roger Huerta.
Kenny is best known for his submission skills and while he has not earned a reputation as a knockout artist he is still adept at striking and uses his elbows to great effect on the ground, often cutting his opponents badly when they are in his closed guard.

After failing to earn a berth on the 2004 US Olympic wrestling team, Maynard considered retirement when he was recruited to be a sparring partner for mixed martial arts fighter and former UFC champion B. J. Penn. With his exposure to the new sport, Maynard sought to compete in the sport, and with his wrestling connections, he eventually became a student and training partner of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, who also has a background in amateur wrestling.
Maynard was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 5, which featured lightweights exclusively. He was selected by B.J. Penn to be on his team, and was Penn's pick to make it to the finals.

At the The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale, Gray fought Rob Emerson in a controversial fight. Gray seemed to be in control of the fight in round one, and in the second round he picked up Emerson and slammed him to the mat. Emerson immediately tapped out because of an injury to his ribs. The referee claimed that Gray also could not continue because he seemed to have hit his head on the mat and knocked himself out due to the force of his ownslam, thus because both fighters could not continue he ruled "No Contest".
