Beginning his MMA career in 2004, it took Hazelett only two years to make it into the UFC.

Starting off in the King of the Cage promotion out of Ohio, Hazelett fought the likes of Jason Ireland and Junior Assuncao before even entering the UFC.

His debut in the UFC was at the UFC – The Final Chapter undercard where he lost a unanimous decision to Tony Desouza. Since then, he has racked off three consecutive UFC victories including two straight submission wins.
