Clay Guida is a professional mixed martial arts fighter currently fighting in the UFC as a Lightweight. He has an 21-8 record in MMA, and is 1-2 in the UFC. Guida debuted in the UFC on October 14th, 2006 at UFC 64 when he submitted Justin James with a rear naked choke at 4:42 in the second round.

Guida garnered major attention for his 3 round split-decision loss to Tyson Griffin at UFC 72. Guida has made quite a name for himself in the Octagon with his relentless and frenetic style. Unfortunately for him, it seems to only please the fans and not the judges. “The Carpenter” has been on the wrong side of two close decisions to Din Thomas (UFC Fight Night 8 ) and Tyson Griffin (UFC 72).
