One of many fighters in the long line of Dutch kickboxers, Hardonk made his way to the UFC through small promotions in Holland and eventually to the Japanese K-1 organization.

His debut in the UFC came in 2006 at UFC 65 – Bad Intentions, where he KO’d his opponent using savage leg kicks.

He has had 2 more fights in the UFC, losing to Justin McCully by decision at UFC Fight Night 9, and then losing to former UFC heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at UFC 74 – Respect.
