UFC 92 Ground and Pound Experts Hamill vs Andy

In the third fight on the UFC 92 betting card Matt Hamill takes on Reese Andy. This figures to be a fight about straight up ability as both Hamill and Andy are best when wrestling.
Hamill does have the ability to box if need be which could get him the victory in this fight. Hamill has a decided height advantage over his rival at 6’ 1” and his ability to strike down onto his opponent could really help him in this fight. Hamill’s record of 6 and 2 implies that he’s always ready.
Reese Andy has a pretty good record of 7 and 2. His ability to wrestle and get his opponents to submit is one of the reasons that he is so respected in UFC. Although he doesn’t have any real striking or boxing ability, Andy is a three time NCAA wrestling champion. That means he is very good at what he does. The question for sports betting fans will be whether or not he can do what he’s good at in this fight.
Here are the BetUS online sportsbook betting UFC odds for this fight.
Matt Hamill - 450
Reese Andy + 275
Okay, so both of these guys can wrestle. What, then, will be the difference? There’s no doubt that Hamill has fought more quality opponents than Andy. There’s also no doubt that Hamill has the ability to box if he needs to.
Will Hamill be able to box enough to get Andy to make a mistake? Maybe. The problem that Andy faces in this fight is that he might not be a better wrestler than Hamill. If he isn’t a better wrestler and he definitely can’t fight Hamill standing straight-up, then Andy is pretty much toast in this fight.
The height advantage could definitely work in Hamill’s favor should he decide to take pot shots at Andy as Andy tries to get him to the ground.
Because of that, I just don’t see Andy winning this fight. I hate taking the chalk in a UFC match because so many things can happen, but Matt Hamill has the ability to either out wrestle Reese Andy or to simply strike at him from a distance.
To me, that makes Hamill one of the likeliest winners on the entire UFC 92 card. I’m not the only one who believes that as the BetUS online sportsbook odds makers have made him a decided favorite at – 450.
Well, I can’t bet against Hamill. He wins this at the BetUS online sportsbook odds of – 450.
