UFC - Lesnar's Health in Serious Jeopardy
by Tim Furious

Brock Lesnar can beat up men of all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s The Undertaker or Randy Couture, Lesnar has been able to defeat anybody foolish enough to stand in his way…until now. Reports came out from Dana White’s big, fat mouth that Lesnar is in seriously critical condition and “won’t be fighting anytime soon”. That’s bad news for one of White’s hottest draws in a sport that is beginning to catapult as a mainstay in sports.
Originally thought to have had the dreaded H1N1 virus, it actually came out that the current heavyweight champion has mononucleosis, or “mono” as it ‘s more commonly referred to. Yet now White, who always remains obnoxiously close to his prized fighters not named “Tito Ortiz” has said in a recent statement that Brock’s, “in a hosptial up in North Dakota somewhere right now…He doesn’t want to talk publicly, but he’s in bad shape. He’s not well and he’s not going to be getting well anytime soon.”
Certainly, we wish the champ the best and if his condition is serious enough to warrant that kind of concern from White, then we’ll believe that it’s serious enough. This does, inevitably and indefinitely, cancel his fight against Shane Carwin that was originally slated for November 18th and was moved to January. Instead, it’s likely that Carwin will face the man he was supposed to face in Cain Velasquez.
It goes without saying that while Carwin-Velasquez will be a solid fight, in no way, shape or form can either man draw at the box office like Lesnar can. More importantly, neither man brings the kind of drama to the octagon that Lesnar is simply capable of. We want to see him fight. If he’s indeed in for a fight for his life, then that’s one we want to see him win.
UFC 106 rings its bell on Saturday with Tito Ortiz slated to take on Forrest Griffin in Ortiz’s return to Dana’s house. BetUS.com is going to have all the coverage you need to get your UFC betting juices wet. Lesnar’s absence will be felt on the card. You just can’t replace a fighter as unique and as interesting as Brock. Get well soon, champ.
