Betting on UFC 66 is on many UFC fans’ minds. With all of the hype that Liddell vs. Ortiz II is bringing, it’s hard to look at the fight objectively – everybody has got their favorite fighter, but it’s tough to tell if that should be the favorite to win the match. These guys have trained together and have spent most of their UFC careers under a lot of hype and scrutiny. This Light Heavyweight Championship Bout is going to be one of the biggest events in UFC history.
When Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz face each other in the octagon on Saturday, it will be the second match between two of the UFC's most exciting and well-known fighters. To say that this is an intense rivalry would be a gross understatement. These fighters used to be good friends and now they’re bitter enemies. With Liddell’s commanding victory over Ortiz in UFC 47, you’ve got to give this victory to the champ.
He’s stronger and meaner than Ortiz. If you’re going to lay a wager, I’d say it’s a safe bet to go with the fighter who states: “plain and simple, I’m gonna hurt him.” Liddell is going to come out striking and Ortiz is going to be on his ass, again, by the end of the second round.
At -240, Liddell is the favorite and rightfully so. He is a standup fighter that is going to be on his feet for the majority of the match. I foresee Chuck setting a furious pace and dominating by the end. The opening minute may be fairly even, but there is no way Tito Ortiz is going to pull out a win in this massive contest.
