This is Kuznetsova’s first tournament back. She takes on Lucie Safarova in her opening round match. They are level 1-1 in head-to-heads. This is their first meeting in 2009. Safarova is 20-16 on the season. Kuznetsova is the value play at -450. She is the most consistent player of the two and she is the more likely to advance. Safarova has a good game but she would have to raise the level of her game to beat Kuznetsova. Not a regular occurrence with Safarova.
