Tennis Betting Analysis: Agnieszka Radwanska is coming off an encouraging run at Stanford, where she reached the quarterfinals before bowing out to Romanian teenager Sorana Cirstea. Radwanska is 26-15 on the season and enters the main draw as the 13th seed. She takes a 2-0 edge over No.71 Ai Sugiyama. Sugiyama, 34, is 7-16 on the season and struggling to keep p with the wave of youngsters hunger for the spotlight.

Jie Zheng -4 -140 -300 21 O -110 U -130

Match Time: Not Before 2:45 P.M. Eastern Time Tuesday August 11 2009

Tennis Betting Analysis: Jie Zheng accounted for the biggest upset at Stanford last week when she outlasted Dinara Safina in a three-set thriller in the quarters. Zheng went on to lose against Samantha Stosur in the semis. Still, Zheng’s value went on the up in the market following her big win. She is a dangerous floater in Cincinnati and a player to spot. She opens against veteran Sybille Bammer. She should have a straightforward win.

Tennis Free Picks: Zheng in straight sets

Tennis Betting Line:

Nadia Petrova -3½ -135 -220 21½ O -110 U -130

Alona Bondarenko +3½ -105 +170 21½ O -110 U -130

Match Time: Not Before 2:30 P.M. Eastern Time Tuesday August 11 2009

Tennis Betting Analysis: This should be a very interesting clash. No.10 Nadia Petrova enters this match as the favourite, listed at -220. Petrova, 27, is considered a veteran but that she still ranks in the top 10 is a testament to her game and durability. Overall, she is 19-13 on the season; recently, she reached the last 16 at Stanford where she lost to eventual champion Pennetta. She takes a 2-0 edge over No.34 Alona Bondarenko into the second round. Bondarenko, 24, is 23-19 on the season and she is coming off a last 16 appearance at Stanford as well. She lost to Sharapova in a sensational three-set thriller. Bondarenko is a talented player, bit slower to develop than some of her more successful peers. There is value in her as the underdog. The last time she met Petrova, she stretched her to three sets. She didn’t take advantage at the time. Might she do so this time?

Tennis Free Picks: Bondarenko in three sets
