With Favre in the Fold, Vikings Odds Continue to Drop

Don't tell gamblers that Brett Favre in Minnesota won't have an impact! The Minnesota Vikings have fluctuated briefly three weeks ago when Favre was debating on whether or not to jump into the NFC North fray with a Viking helmet between +2000 and +1400.

Now that Brett is firmly entrenched as the starting quarterback for Minnesota the odds are a firm +1200 in most sportsbooks and another drop should be expected once gamblers start betting on the Vikings who have one of the easiest schedule of any team in the NFL this year.  That's not bad, but bettors should also check out the odds on some of the other teams to win the Super Bowl.

How about the New York Giants who and Philadelphia Eagles? The G-Men remain a solid favorite to add another Super Bowl ring after placating Eli Manning with a new contract while the Eagles added Michael Vick to their arsenal of offensive talent!

Then there's the New England Patriots in the AFC whose returning quarterback, Tom Brady, looked exceptional in their first pre-season game of the year. The Patriots odds no doubt will drop, drop, drop until they are a solid favorite, possibly a 2 to 1 favorite, to win the Super Bowl!
