Why Twitter is Down
by BetUS Staff

Twitter has been subject of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks since just after the Iran Election Ceremony. A coincidence...very possibly. But it is odd that someone would choose to launch a DDOS attack at Twitter in the hours after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-sworn in as president, especially since Twitter has been the only form of free communication that has been allowed in or out since the elections.
Twitter was very useful to opponents of the president during the disputed election as Twitter boss Evan Williams told new reporters.
But then again, Facebook appears to have been having some issues today too which could either be just another coincidence or point to some kind of wider targeted attack against social networking sites.
Now for those loyal BetUS.com Twitter followers here are a few suggestions on what you can do besides taking handfuls of Xanax:
- Read the newspaper and get your news the old fashioned way.
- Go outside for lunch.
- Study up for your upcoming fantasy football draft.
- Use TweetLater
- Study up on pre-season football odds.
- Finally learn the difference between an alligator and crocodile.
If that isnt enough - the BetUS.com has the latest in sports news updated in real time.
BetUS.com will add all back logged tweets when service becomes available.
