Hawaii is known best for the beautiful surroundings and awesome surfing conditions. Well, did you know that it is also one of the few places in the world that you can swim with sharks? Yes, that's right. I am not talking about dolphins, I am talking about fierce, man-eating, ruthless sharks. Me and my girlfriend, Miss February of the 2006 BetUs swimsuit calendar, Shay Lyn, decided while in Hawaii, to take the plunge and swim with the sharks. It was a great experience. The water was a beautiful clear blue and the weather was great. As we lowered ourselves into the water, Tiger sharks surrounded us in a pack. They were absolutely beautiful and very peaceful acting. Neither Shay or myself were scared of these 9 ft beasts.

Then, we switched loactions to see Sand Bar sharks. These sharks are only about 5 ft, yet are notorious for biting people for no apparent reason. These sharks were by far scarier than the Tigers. They were flipping in and out of water and zipping around us. Shay and I decided to get back on the boat after we were both bitten by tiny, evil fish. We both had pain where we were bit, but Shay had what looked like 10 mosquito bites where she had been bit. Turns out that we'd live. So basically, guys, size doesn't matter. We were more frightened of the Sand Bars then the Tigers...way more! We have TONS of pics and videos of our adventure as well!! It's a great experience and everyone should do it if you're in Hawaii!
