AFL Online Betting - San Jose vs. Orlando

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

Online betting action heats up Saturday night when the defending champion and (5-4) San Jose Sabercats invade “The Jungle” to take on Head Coach Jay Gruden’s (6-3) Orlando Predators in non-conference play. The Sabercats have cost their backers this season by going 4-5 ATS overall, but more so on the road where they’ve only scratched out one cover in five attempts. They did however win their last road game both SU and ATS when they trounced the Utah Blaze 61-40 as 7.5-point road favorites. The Predators have made their backers some coin this season by going 5-3-1 ATS, but suffered their first SU & ATS loss last week when they fell to division rival Tampa 48-41 as six-point home favorites. San Jose has gotten the best of Orlando in their five series’ meetings winning four of five SU, but the Preds have been the breadwinners taking two of three against the spread.

This is about the time San Jose heats up every season. They got off to a rough start last season going 3-3 through the first six weeks, but then rattled off 10 straight regular season victories then dominated their post-season opposition en route to the franchises 3rd ArenaBowl Championship of the decade. This club seems to have found its stride over the last two weeks winning 61-40 at Utah as previously mentioned, and then they dropped 70 on Los Angeles last week in the 28-point resounding home win and cover. The Sabercats are the healthiest they’ve been all season long, and will no doubt bring their “A” game over with them from the west coast.

Orlando simply fell on its faces last week against archrival Tampa Bay. They read too many of their press clippings after their big come-from-behind win at Georgia the week before, and let a (2-5) Storm club take it to them right from the opening kick. They found themselves down 24-14 at the break and tried to make a comeback in the second half, but they lost the turnover battle 5:1 and ended up losing on the scoreboard because of it. The Preds haven’t lost consecutive games at home since 2003, and they’re 17-8 SU their L/25 at home.

Oddsmakers tagged the Predators 2.5-points better than the Sabercats in this spot with the ‘total’ set at 111. BetUS.com has all the AFL action your heart desires, so be sure to login and get your wagers down in what should be a heated non-conference battle.
