NHL Online Betting - Monday Selection (Toronto at Los Angeles)
by Robby Maddux

The Los Angeles Kings posted a modest profit for the online NHL wagering fans who supported them in November, as they earned a 7-4-2 record for the month. But as we flip a page on our sports betting calendar to December, net keeping will decide fate to the new month. Los Angeles will try for a third straight win on Monday when they welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Staples Center, starting at 10:30pm EST.
The goaltending tandem of Jason LaBarbera and Erik Ersberg has Los Angeles on a three-game winning streak, one victory shy of tying the Kings' longest such streak since a season-high four-game run from Nov. 6-13. Last month's 2.43 GAA is partially due to Wednesday’s 2-1 win at Edmonton with LaBarbera in net for the first time since Nov. 1 and making 22 saves. LaBarbera started the first ten games of the campaign before stepping aside to Ersberg, who owns a sharp 2.29 GAA in 13 outings. Ersberg stopped 22 shots to down visiting Chicago 5-2 on Saturday.
—Kings are 19-47 in their last 66 games following a win.
—Kings are 16-37 in their last 53 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game.
—Kings are 20-43 in their last 63 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game.
But it'll be LaBarbera getting the call on Monday in support of a Kings' offense led by Alexander Frolov, Patrick O’Sullivan and Jarret Stoll, who's combined to score at least five goals for the fourth time this season with Saturday's five goal effort. LaBarbera has faced the Leafs only once, which resulted in a home 5-2 win despite being bombarded by a career-high 50 shots on Jan. 10.
—Kings are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference.
—Kings are 5-0 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning % below .400.
—Kings are 5-2 in their last 7 home games.
—Kings are 0-5 in their last 5 Monday games.
The Leafs have struggled recently, dropping five straight before ending the money-shredding slide via a home 4-2 victory over Philadelphia on Saturday. Nik Antropov and Dominic Moore were key to stopping the bleeding, as both found the back of the net and posted an assist. Goalie Vesa Toskala did his part with a 28-save game for the Leafs, who'll be trying for consecutive wins for the first time since Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
—Maple Leafs are 1-4 in their last 5 games following a win.
—Maple Leafs are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. Western Conference.
—Maple Leafs are 2-8 in their last 10 vs. a team with a losing record.
—Maple Leafs are 1-5 in their last 6 road games.
—Maple Leafs are 2-5 in their last 7 Monday games.
Toronto has dropped five of their last six on the road, and are 1-4-0 with two ties in seven visits to the Staples Center since Feb. 8, 1996. Los Angeles leads the series 10-4-1 with two ties during the span. BetUS NHL odds favor the Kings at -135 (-1½ +185) with a game total of 6 over -120. The under has cashed in seven of the last ten meetings.
