This hockey picks corner is doing quite well lately. Our insight has been key in helping NHL bettors take their accounts to the next level. We’ve been looking at things such as injuries, home and away records, trades/call-ups and even coaching changes. No stone is unturned when putting together this article. We give you the intangibles you can’t get anywhere else. You can crunch the numbers all you want, but the bottom line is you just need to know the winner.

Do not “Fly.”

The Philadelphia Flyers are in a sad transition state right now. They have not won a game this season when Peter Forsberg doesn’t play. The Flyers have released players that have been unproductive and they’re not getting great goaltender very often. In short, BET AGAINST THEM! If the money line is too high, don’t be afraid to take the goal line and lay 1.5 goals. This team cannot score and is not exactly stellar on defense.

Don’t pull one over the Sabres.

The Buffalo Sabres are still one of the best teams in the NHL. However, over the last dozen games or so, they have not been scoring goals at the same rate they were earlier in the campaign. Simply put, don’t think of them as the same high octane offense they were initially this season. Start looking at the under in individual team goals if the odds are favorable.

 Avoid the northern capital.

The struggles of the Ottawa Senators have been well chronicled this season. But occasionally they break out of their funk and win a couple of games in a row. That said, don’t look to take any side of their games for a while. Let’s establish what kind of team they are first. You can’t count them out or count on them at this point, so steer clear of the Sens. At 5-5 over their last 10 games, they are the epitome of flipping a coin right now.

Ducks goal line.

Anaheim has been so dominant this season that you have to start looking at taking them on the goal line regularly. Sure, you could take them on the money line, but you’re going to have to lay a lot of money most nights to win very little for it. Instead, start looking at their goal lines and have confidence they can cover the spread. Their last two wins were by three goals.
