NHL Betting - The Wednesday Night Rundown

NEW YORK RANGERS -120 over Pittsburgh Penguins
The Rangers, while glad to be rid of a Mr. Sean Avery, are probably more concerned with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin continuing their combined points streak in Manhatten tonight. Pittsburgh is 9-3 SU in their last 12 games and are 4-2 SU in their last 6 clashes with the Rangers. My fear for Pittsburgh, however, is coming off a 4-1 win in Jersey leading in to a fight against the talented Rangers. This is an opportunity for Naslund and company to show that they are not just a first-quarter flash in the pan.
OTTAWA SENATORS -185 over Atlanta Thrashers
The Thrashers are 1-7 SU in their last 8 games and are 5-20 SU in their last 25 road games. As much as you may not trust the Senators this season, this is a game that they can win easily. The Thrashers played a heartbreaker against the Canadiens last night, and now is not the time for them to get surly while being haunted by a ridiculously bad road record.
MINNESOTA WILD -180 over St. Louis Blues
The Wild are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games at home, which makes them an uneasy pick tonight when the surging Blues are coming off a 4-2 SU record in their last 6 games. However, with the Blues being 2-7 SU in their last 9 games at Xcel Energy, capitalize on a favorable moneyline with the Wild.
Anaheim Ducks +135 over CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS
As with most young teams, the Blackhawks will endure the painful reality that they are a streaky team. The Blackhawks have lost three straight games and are hurdling in to a pissed off Anaheim team that just lost to the Detroit Red Wings by a narrow margin. If you’re looking for a sweet sports betting free pick, then look no further than the road dogs in this one.
Dallas Stars +150 over EDMONTON OILERS
Anytime a team cancer like Sean Avery rears his ugly mug, the team finds a way to rally. The Stars, who have been hot as of late, are undefeated in their last five visits to the frigid tundra of Edmonton. With the Oilers 2-6 SU in their last 8 games, they’re not exactly riding a streak that should instill the betting faith of our hockey lovers out there. Bet Dallas and be happy.
