Week 11 NFL Picks

One again, I feel compelled to let you know I was on the winning side as a whole last week. In fact, we gave out several winners on the radio show and made the listeners some money. However, something happens in this corner that makes us look bad every week with these three picks. The record is not good, there’s no denying it. No matter, we are confident in our knowledge and feel good about these picks:

Indianapolis -1.5 @ Dallas

Are you kidding me? The Colts are coming off a sub par performance in a narrow win over the Bills. You have got to expect Peyton Manning to come back and light it up this week. Yes, the injuries are mounting for Indy. Yes, the run defense is going to have to stop a top five running game. But, this team has not looked bad in consecutive games all season.

Dallas has been inconsistent in 2006. Can we really rely on them to put together two straight great games? I think not. Tony Romo is going up against a pretty good secondary and unless he turns into Michael Vick, I don’t think facing a poor rush defense when it’s 3rd and eleven will matter. Take the Colts and lay the points.

Atlanta +4 @ Baltimore

The Ravens will not have Ray Lewis in this game. But the Falcons will not have Patrick Kerney. Atlanta has lost its confidence and you need to have a lot of it to win in Baltimore. The Ravens played stellar over the final two quarters last week and we look for them to carry that play into this week. Take the Ravens and lay the points.

San Diego +2.5 @ Denver

The home field advantage and experience level tip drastically in the Broncos’ favor. They played well in the second half of an ugly game last week in Oakland, but should be fine and revved up for this contest. Meanwhile, LaDanian Tomlinson does not have a good history against Denver. Without Shawne Merriman, San Diego is 3-0. However, they’ve also given up way too many points. We just don’t see the Chargers putting up enough scores on a good Denver defense at Mile High. Take Denver and lay the points.

Last Week: 1-2
Overall: 11-19
