NFL Weekend Winning Wagers!
by Dave D

As the weather turns sour and the winter elements play a factor, home-field advantage becomes more and more valuable. Here’s a look at the sports betting home underdogs in the NFL for Week 12:
Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs (+3)
The Buffalo Bills are spinning out of control. Their latest setback was a home loss to the lowly Cleveland Browns yet for some reason, they are favored on the road in Kansas City.
Although the records won’t indicate it, but the Chiefs have actually been a better team than the Buffalo Bills over their last month. They nearly beat the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Diego Chargers, while falling just short of the New Orleans Saints last week. The Chiefs lead the league in takeaways while the Bills can’t stop giving the ball away. Arrowhead Stadium is a tough place to play so look for the Chiefs to finally get their second win of the season.
Pick: Chiefs +3
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions (+7.5)
Regardless of what the masses say, it’s hard to bet on the Detroit Lions. They are still a horrible team defensively, allowing over 250+ rushing yards last week to Carolina, and they are still a work in progress on offense.
While Daunte Culpepper has added the long ball to the offense, just throwing up jump balls to Calvin Johnson, he’s also added his penchant for turnovers, throwing two interceptions and losing one fumble last week.
The Buccaneers are not a great road team but they will play tough defense. That might be enough but Detroit’s inviting defense and tendency for mistakes is enough reason to stay away from the Lions.
Pick: Buccaneers -7.5
Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks (+3.5)
While the scoreboard showed that the Seattle Seahawks were competitive last weekend, the raw statistics show otherwise. The Seahawks had three touchdown scoring drives and all were a direct result of Arizona’s turnovers. All three drives were 15 yards or less.
The Cardinals out-gained the Seahawks 471 to 213 and the Seahawks rushed for only 43 yards on 22 carries. There are some serious issues in Seattle and they are a team to stay away from.
Pick: Redskins -3.5
New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals (+3)
The Arizona Cardinals are back at home and have won three straight games. They’ll welcome the Super Bowl Champs to town as the New York Giants visit in what potentially could be a preview of the NFC Championship game. Even though the Cardinals are 7-3, they are still doubted and a lot of people feel as though they have beaten up on feeble competition. If they can win on Sunday, nobody will question them again for a little while.
The Giants are tough to beat simply because they run the ball on everyone and anyone. Travelling out west to Arizona isn’t easy, though, and the Giants should expect the Cards best effort.
Pick: Cardinals +3 +105
