Can you believe how crazy this season has been? If you are one of those bettors who puts a few bucks on wild upsets just for the sake it, you’re making quite the tidy little sum each week. The upsets continued in Week 11, as the Colts finally lost, the 49ers proved they’re for real, and
Steelers 24 Browns 20
Despite three INTs for Big Ben,
Panthers 15 Rams 0
Ravens 24 Falcons 10
It looked troubling at first for Ravens backers, but
Buccaneers 20
Only hardcore bettors watched this terrible matchup, as the Bucs “manned up” at home and got the win. Facing a rookie QB,
Titans 31 Eagles 13
Good night Eagles. Mr. McNabb is once again gone for the season and Philly fans are officially depressed. The biggest spread of the week ended up being the biggest upset of the week. Vince Young finds a way to get it done.
Bears 10 Jets 0
The good news is the Jets defense is getting better, the bad is their offense is not.
Bengals 31 Saints 16
Has the clock struck midnight on the Saints? Not yet, but it’s getting late. Cincy finally got big plays from their defense en route to big win over New Orleans. Chad Johnson helped Bengals backers to the ticket window with another monster day.
Dolphins 24 Vikings 20
Oddsmakers had the spread bang on here, as Miami barely covered the spread in a hard fought win at home versus Minnesota.
Chiefs 17 Raiders 13
Trent Green was victorious in his first game back. However, KC failed to cover the spread or score enough points for the over. No matter, I’m sure there were plenty of Oakland backers and under bettors out there.
Bills 24 Texans 21
The Houston secondary made J.P. Losman look like an NFL quarterback out there. For shame. But did you expect anything more refined in terms of on-field play? Buffalo came back late to win a sloppy game as the road dog.
Patriots 35 Packers 0
Another shutout on the day. Tom Brady wanted to prove a point and I think it was proven. New England covered the big spread and served notice in the AFC. Meanwhile, this pretty much buried Green Bay’s season.
49ers 20 Seahawks 14
We were all over this game like stink on a monkey. San Francisco has been fantastic as of late with the spread and this game was no different. Don’t look now, but the 49ers are only one game back of Seattle for the division!
Cardinals 17 Lions 10
Someone had to win this game (well, not technically since ties are also possible) and I guess the favored team won out. Who cares? It was not one of the heavily bet games of the week.
Cowboys 21 Colts 14
A big performance by the DL of Dallas carried them to the win. The Colts were slight favorites and have now played two sloppy games in a row. The home dog prevailed here.
Chargers 35 Broncos 27
San Diego was stellar in the final quarter to pull out a key road win. They won as a road dog, while Denver failed once again to cover the spread. Look for the Chargers to gain a lot of confidence after this win.
