Week 10 Betting Frenzy - Minnesota Vikings vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
by Mike Rose

Two teams trying to improve their position in the race for the NFC playoffs meet at Raymond James Stadium, and BetUS Sportsbook will have all of the great sports betting action that you can sink your teeth into when the Minnesota Vikings (5-4, 3-6 ATS) clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3, 5-4 ATS). Tampa Bay has won and covered the L/3 meetings between these two teams. Their last meeting was in 2005, when the Bucs beat the Vikes 24-13 at the Metrodome.
Last week was a wild game for the Vikings, who came out on the right side of a 28-27 game against the Packers. That was no consolation for Minnesota bettors, who fell narrowly short of the 2.5-point spread. The defense was terrific for the Vikes, which recorded two safeties in the second quarter and crushed QB Aaron Rodgers for five sacks.
Three Gus Frerotte interceptions and the special teams conceding a punt return for a touchdown blew the defense’s effort. The day belonged to Adrian Peterson. “All Day” toted the rock 30 times for 192 yards and a touchdown, and chipped in the receiving game with 33 yards.
The 55 combined points was enough to give yet another cash to ‘over’ bettors, who have picked up three straight and five out of six victories. Expect to see a lot of close games for the rest of the season for Minnesota. Short of a 13-point loss to Tennessee, each of the other eight Vikings games has finished within 10 points.
Tampa Bay bettors hope that three straight lackluster efforts against the NFL betting line will end this week against the Vikes. The Bucs were off from football betting action last weekend. At 6-3, the Bucs are in prime position to make the playoffs yet again, but their eyes are clearly set on the Panthers and first place in the NFC South.
The team ranks in the Top-10 in several major categories, including total yards (350.3, 9th), passing yards (234.6, 9th), yards allowed (289.4, 7th), passing yards allowed (190.1, 5th), and points allowed (16.3, 4th). The team has problems at the running back position, as Earnest Graham and Warrick Dunn are both nursing injuries. As a response, HC Jon Gruden activated former 1st round draft pick Carnell “Cadillac” Williams.
Oddsmakers have installed the Bucs as 3.5-point favorites in this critical NFC showdown. The ‘total’ has been set at 38.5.
All of the NFL betting trends in this game point towards Tampa Bay. The Bucs are 9-4 ATS in their L/13 games at “Ray Jay,” while Minnesota is just 3-9 ATS in its L/12 games overall and 2-6 ATS in its L/8 against the NFC. The home team in this series is 8-1-1 ATS and 9-1 SU since 1998.
