NFL Betting Insider - Week 11 AFC Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

Ten weeks of online football betting is in the books, and BetUS Sportsbook has everything you need to know about how the teams in the AFC stack in this week's set of NFL power rankings

1: Houston Texans (6-3 ATS, 5-4 SU) (LW: 2) The Texans were on bye last week, but move up to the top spot thanks to the Broncos' falling to the Redskins. There's a lot to prove for the youngest franchise in the NFL in a rare Monday Night Football appearance at home against QB Vince Young and the surging Tennessee Titans.

Up Next: Home vs. Titans (-4.5)

2: Cincinnati Bengals (6-3 ATS, 7-2 SU) (LW: 3) To answer the question whether or not the Bengals are for real or not: Yes. Yes, they are. They're now 4-0 SU and ATS against the Steelers and Ravens combined this year, and hold a one-game lead and the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh with just seven weeks to go. Considering four of those seven games are against cupcakes, it's going to take a skid of epic proportions to not make the playoffs from here.

Up Next: Away @ Raiders (-9.5)

3: Denver Broncos (6-3 ATS, 6-3 SU) (LW: 1) Uh-oh, Denver. The Broncos appear to be mortal now, having lost three straight games. Losing to Pittsburgh and Baltimore was excusable, but Washington? Really? Things could be very, very bad for this team if QB Kyle Orton has a serious problem with his ankle. Backup QB Chris Simms proved that he isn't worth much on Sunday, connecting on just three of his 13 passes.

Up Next: Home vs. Chargers (OTB)

4: Baltimore Ravens (6-3 ATS, 5-4 SU) (LW: 4) The Ravens covered the spread against the Browns on Monday night, but let's be realistic about it. This wasn't nearly as impressive of a performance as it could've been against a team that is simply awful. The schedule's about to get a heck of a lot harder, beginning with a game against the only undefeated team left standing in the conference.

Up Next: Home vs. Colts (-1)

5: Indianapolis Colts (5-3-1 ATS, 9-0 SU) (LW: 5) He may have thrown two INTs and looked out of sync with his receivers for times during the game, but when QB Peyton Manning was given the chance to beat the Pats, he stepped up and led a perfect two minute drill to steal victory from the jaws of defeat. It was only a push for Indy bettors, but there isn't anyone in blue and white that wouldn't take the 35-34 result again.

Up Next: Away @ Ravens (+1)

6: New England Patriots (4-4-1 ATS, 6-3 SU) (LW: 9) Who will ever know what the heck HC Bill Belichick was thinking when he decided to go for it on 4th and 2 in his own territory with two minutes to play protecting a six-point lead. The Pats ended up salvaging a push on the betting line, but man, is this going to be a game that Belichick kicks himself about for a long time coming.

Up Next: Home vs. Jets (-10)

7: Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5 ATS, 5-4 SU) (LW: 12) The Jaguars move way up in the rankings this week in the very crowded AFC thanks to their 24-22 win in the Meadowlands. The victory moved them into a tie with the Texans for second place in the AFC South, which could prove to be critical, as both teams are firmly in the race for Wild Card slots in the conference.

Up Next: Home vs. Bills (-8.5)

8: San Diego Chargers (4-5 ATS, 6-3 SU) (LW: 13) It only took three weeks for the Chargers to erase that three-game deficit of the Broncos. Now, after beating Philadelphia 31-23 on Sunday, they can take the lead in the AFC West for the first time this year by winning at Invesco.

Up Next: Away @ Broncos (OTB)

And the rest…

9: Miami Dolphins (4-5 ATS, 4-5 SU) (LW: 6)
10: Tennessee Titans (4-5 ATS, 3-6 SU) (LW: 15)
11: Buffalo Bills (4-5 ATS, 3-6 SU) (LW: 8)
12: Kansas City Chiefs (4-5 ATS, 2-7 SU) (LW: 16)
13: Oakland Raiders (4-5 ATS, 2-7 SU) (LW: 7)
14: New York Jets (4-5 ATS, 4-5 SU) (LW: 10)
15: Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6 ATS, 6-3 SU) (LW: 11)
16: Cleveland Browns (3-6 ATS, 1-8 SU) (LW: 14)
