Struggling Chiefs Host Surprising Rams
by BetUS Staff

Okay BetUS online Sportsbook NFL wagering members, with just one week remaining until the start of the NFL regular season opener, NFL bettors have one more opportunity to rake in some more NFL preseason dough.
This Week Four Preseason NFL Free Pick features the St. Louis Rams (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS, 1-2 O/U) and Kansas City Chiefs (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS, 2-1 O/U).
The Rams have averaged 14.7 points per game during the preseason and are allowing 16.7 points per game defensively. St. Louis has gone an underwhelming 1-2 against the spread this preseason while also going 2-1 in Over/Under, (O/U) point spreads.
St. Louis is coming off a pitiful 3-13 regular season record in 2007 that also saw them go 5-11 ATS and 7-9 O/U but have averaged a solid 124.0 rushing yards per game this preseason, (9th).
The Chiefs failed badly in 2007, going just 4-12 in the regular season both did mange to record respectable wagering statistics, going 7-8-1 ATS and 8-8 O/U last season.
Kansas City has averaged just 13.7 points per contest this preseason while allowing 23.7 points per game defensively. Kansas City was shut out by the surprising Miami Dolphins on the road last week, losing 24-0, after falling 27-17 in Week Two.
Kansas City has been steady against the pass defensively, allowing just 144.7 yards per game but are giving up too many yards on the ground, (138.3, 25th) and points per game.
NFL Odds in BetUS Sportsbook
St. Louis Rams +4 -110
Kansas City Chiefs -4 -110
Over 34-110
Under 34 -110
Analysis: I’ll make this pick brief and just say I’m surprised that the Chiefs are favored in this contest even though I know the Rams won’t be playing their starters very long, if at all while the Chiefs will try a bit harder before playing their second and third stringers. Still, I like the Rams to win and cover as they enter the 2008 regular season opener feeling like they have something to prove this season.
NFL Free Pick: Rams 21 Chiefs 14
