South Florida Bulls vs. Central Florida Knights

Week 2 of the NCAAF betting season is here, so don’t miss out on any of the football wagering chances with BetUS.com this weekend.

On Saturday night, college football bettors get to sink their teeth into a Sunshine State showdown, when the South Florida Bulls (1-0) head up I-4 to take on the Central Florida Knights (1-0). The Knights will be out to avenge their embarrassing 64-12 loss in Tampa Bay last season.

This will be the fourth game in the series between these two up and coming Florida programs. The Bulls have dominated the Knights, both winning and covering the spread in all three of their previous betting affairs.

There wasn’t much excitement around USF’s 56-7 victory over Tennessee-Martin in the first week of the college football betting season. Though there was no NCAA betting line on the game, there was no doubt that the Bulls were a far superior squad to the Skyhawks.

USF took an early 28-0 lead and took their foot off the gas in the second half. QB Matt Grothe led the first quarter charge, throwing for two touchdowns in just a bit over a quarter of action.

Last year against UCF, Grothe accounted for 312 yards of offense and four scores for the Bulls. If South Florida is to duplicate their success from last year, it probably won’t be Grothe, but a stiff running attack that will do the damage. Benjamin Williams and Mike Ford are both legitimate NFL-caliber running backs, and both could do huge damage against a front-seven for the Knights that’s chalked full of underclassmen.

UCF wasn’t nearly as impressive in their season-opener. Though their defense played well in their 17-0 shutout of the South Carolina State Bulldogs, the offense struggled, as QB Mike Greco only completed 9/16 passes for 90 yards in his first career start.

In fairness to Central Florida, the weather in Orlando was awful on Saturday night, and HC George O’Leary admitted that his gameplan was intentionally vanilla.

Expect to see a lot more of the offensive burden placed on Greco’s shoulders.

The Knights might’ve won Conference USA last year, but they were awful in their final three non-conference games of the year, including shocking their football bettors when they lost to USF by 52 points when the college football betting odds only had them installed as a 10-point underdog.

Oddsmakers originally set USF as 12.5-point road favorites in this Sunshine State showdown, but NCAA football bettors have pushed the line up to 14. The ‘total’ is standing pat at 51.

Consider putting the ‘under’ on your NCAA betting card this weekend, as UCF has played seven of their L/8 lined games ‘under’ the betting ‘total’, which doesn’t include last week’s game that only reached 17 combined points. BetUS Sportsbook is your home for this and all of the Week 2 NCAA Football betting battles, so be sure to login to your account and get your football wagers down on this non-conference battle!
