NCAA Football Betting - Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Online sports wagering enthusiasts and NCAA football betting sharps alike will be focused on a Big Ten this week—perhaps more so than usual. This week, the Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Camp Randall Stadium to renew their rivalry with the Wisconsin Badgers in a matchup that presents some sports betting value in terms of NCAA football odds.

It was to be expected with the Badgers’ impossibly tough schedule, which includes all of the Big Ten contenders and Fresno State, that the perennial pre-season sleepers would slip up at some point. However, even the most astute of NCAA football betting experts couldn’t have predicted that their first loss would come to Michigan. Wisconsin looked very uncharacteristic at the Big House, surrendering leads on several occasions. The normally lights-out rush defense turned out to be porous, allowing two 80-plus yard kickoff returns—a surefire recipe for an easy comeback.

Usually, the Badgers are the model of ball-control and clock management, but quarterback Allan Evridge made life pretty difficult in distributing two interceptions and fumbling three times—losing the ball twice. Things won’t get much easier this week, especially considering Wisconsin struggled to shut down an offense that features just one senior on its starting squad.

Ohio State slipped up early in the season against USC, but the year and its BCS hopes aren’t gone just yet. The Buckeyes have changed their approach to the game—from a typical offense with a pocket passer and a workhorse back, to a more modern scheme with a mobile pivot. Todd Boeckman has been essentially ousted as the No. 1 at OSU, and replaced with freshman Terrelle Pryor. Pryor entered the school driven by a massive hype machine, and has lived up to the expectations in limited time, leading the team in rushing with 292 yards!

This seems like a very unfavorable matchup for Wisconsin, considering their troubles against the Wolverines. Not only will they have to formulate a game-plan for a very unconventional quarterback that can run, but there’s also a fellow by the name of Chris Wells on OSU as well—he can apparently run too. On the flip side, OSU’s rush defense is fantastic. With standouts such as James Laurenitis filling the gaps, Wisconsin’s go-to guy, running back P.J. Hill, should have some difficulty finding the open field.

Take Ohio State plus the points in this one. These NCAA football lines look very good for the Buckeyes and can win you money this weekend!
