College Football Betting Trends - Week 12 OVER Teams
by Mike Rose

Now that the college football online gambling season is heading into its twelfth week of play, check out how BetUS stacks up the best ‘over’ teams against the college football point spreads in the country through 11 weeks…
1: North Carolina State Wolfpack (9-1) (LW: 1) The Wolfpack played yet another 'over' contest this week. Their defense just continues to get worse and worse. After allowing 454 yards and 43 points to the Tigers, NC State knows that it can no longer go bowling. HC Tom O'Brien can thank his defense for that, which ranks 99th in the country, allowing 30.9 points per game, and has given up at least 30 in every game since facing Gardner-Webb back on September 19th.
Up Next: Away @ Virginia Tech
2: Florida State Seminoles (8-2) (LW: 2) For once, Florida State played an 'over' game that had little to do with how poorly the defense played. Even though QB Christian Ponder is out for the season, backup EJ Manuel has proven to be an asset for the Noles. He led the FSU offense to 41 big points in a 13-point victory that kept its bowl chances alive.
Up Next: Home vs. Maryland
3: Toledo Rockets (7-3) (LW: 5) You wouldn't know by Toledo's five turnovers that the Rockets were capable of playing a game that reached 84 points. Alas, a 56-28 decision against Central Michigan got the job done for 'over' bettors once again on Wednesday night. Another mid-week clash happens this week against a team with a defense that may be even worse than Toledo's own.
Up Next: Home vs. Eastern Michigan
4: Texas A&M Aggies (7-3) (LW: 11) The big movers for the week are the Aggies, but HC Mike Sherman wishes that his team wasn't here for this reason. A&M allowed a whopping 65 points against Oklahoma in Norman over the weekend, which made for an easy day for 'over' bettors. It was the fifth 'over' in the L/6 games for the Aggies, who have now allowed 47 or more points three times this season.
Up Next: Home vs. Baylor
5: Auburn Tigers (7-3-1) (LW: 8) 'Over' bettors probably deserved better than a push in Saturday's Georgia/Auburn game, especially considering how explosive both of these offenses have had the potential to be. OC Gus Malzahn has a week to scheme for his biggest test yet: Alabama's defense.
Up Next: Bye
6: North Texas Mean Green (7-3) (LW: 3) The Mean Green have suddenly played a pair of 'under' contests after rolling off seven straight 'overs'. This one was awfully close, as they played to a 35-28 loss to Florida International, falling just one more score short of the number. The game against Army should be a great clash between a defense that can't stop anyone and an offense that can't score on anyone.
Up Next: Home vs. Army
7: Rice Owls (7-3) (LW: 4) The Owls found the win column for the first time this season when they beat Tulane 28-20. The oddsmakers saw this one coming, as they were three-point favorites. It was the best defensive effort of the season for Rice, as all of its previous nine opponents had scored at least 27 points.
Up Next: Home vs. UTEP
8: Connecticut Huskies (6-3) (LW: 12) Connecticut moves into the power poll after a week where a ton of the top teams couldn't figure out how to reach the 'total'. The Huskies may be catching Notre Dame at the right time this week off of a crushing loss to Pitt that probably will put HC Charlie Weis out of a job regardless of what happens over the rest of the season.
Up Next: Home vs. Notre Dame
And the rest…
9: Indiana Hoosiers (6-3-1) (LW: 6)
10: Oregon Ducks (7-3) (LW: NR)
11: Temple Owls (6-3) (LW: NR)
12: Michigan Wolverines (7-4) (LW: NR)
13: Idaho Vandals (7-4) (LW: NR)
14: Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-4) (LW: 13)
15: Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (6-4) (LW: 9)
