#23 Kentucky Wildcats (7-3) vs. #9 Georgia Bulldogs (8-2)

Saturday, November 17th --- Sanford Stadium, Athens --- 12:30pm EST

Opening NCAA Football Betting Line: Georgia -8 (61)

The SEC East race is on the line as Mark Richt and the Bulldogs host the bumbling Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. Georgia is 5-1 SU at home this year, and are 5-2 SU in their conference. Kentucky will come to town hoping to shed the betting trend that has been set over their last six meetings with Georgia. They are 2-4 ATS in their last six against the Dawgs.

Georgia has flipped the script on their playbook, going from a conservative game plan to a tricky and creative one that has seriously opened up this offense. This has opened up rushing lanes for Knowshon Moreno, the star freshman for theBulldogs who averages 5.5 yards per carry and has 1,104 yards on the year with 11 touchdowns. Kentucky’s porous run defense allows a head-shaking 197.3 yards per game.

Andre Woodson will have his chances against a passing defense that allows 201.5 yards per game, but Georgia is on a serious roll right now. Kentucky, on the other hand, has lost any momentum they were carrying heading in to the home stretch. Bet on the Bulldogs as they try to improve their 5-4 ATS record against a Wildcats team that has seemed to lose their heart. The rushing defense of Kentucky will not be able to keep Georgia off the field, let alone out of the endzone.

#6 West Virginia Mountaineers (8-1) vs. #22 Cincinnati Bearcats (8-2)

Saturday, November 17th --- Nippert Stadium, Cincinnati --- 7:45pm EST

Opening NCAA Football Betting Line: West Virginia -7 (55.5)

These are both very good football teams, so don’t bite in to the rankings just yet. Cincinnati is eighteenth in scoring with 36.6 points per contest. West Virginia out paces them by only a few points, ranking tenth overall with 40.4 points per game. WVU needs this game to keep pace with Connecticut, which is starting to crumble as the season wears on.

Cincinnati has a strong rushing defense allowing only 98.8 points per game, but their passing defense allows a disturbing 261.2 yards on average. The reason it’s disturbing is because quarterback Pat White has elevated his game to a whole new level. Last weekend he ran for 147 yards, including a breakaway touchdown that clinched the victory for the Mountaineers. He is simply coming up with huge plays, be it with his hands or his feet, when they matter most, and that is the kind of intangible you can not bet against.

The Bearcats are 10-1 SU in their last 11 home games, making them an intimidating home dog. The betting investor should rest assured since West Virginia is 12-4 ATS and 14-2 SU in their last 16 road games. With plenty on the line, West Virginia will roll to the win behind Steve Slaton and Pat White rushing the ball all over these Bearcats.

#4 Oklahoma Sooners (9-1) vs. Texas Tech Raiders (7-4)

Saturday, November 17th --- Jones SBC Stadium, Lubbock --- 8:00pm EST

Opening NCAA Football Betting Line: Oklahoma -9.5 (66)

The Sooners hope to keep their BCS hopes alive as they face the aerial attack of the Texas Tech Raiders. Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree are the canon and missile of the most dangerous aerial attack in football. The Raiders average an astounding 480.6 passing yards per game, while Oklahoma’s pass defense surrenders 227.4 per match.

Oklahoma can’t get caught looking past the dangerous Raiders. They will need Sam Bradford to continue to gut passing defenses as he steadies an offense that averages 466.4 total yards per game and notches 45.0 points. Oklahoma has a much better defense than Texas Tech is used to facing, so they won’t be able to torch the scoreboard like they’re used to doing.

The Sooners defense is a tad bit suspect, and their secondary is going to suffer some blows as Michael Crabtree uses this game as his coming out party. The Raiders are 7-1 SU in their last 8 games, but are 1-5 ATS in their last six when playing Oklahoma. Oklahoma has fallen off the wagon by going 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games, but are riding a five game winning streak. Bet on that streak to continue as they match Harrell and the Raiders pass-for-pass in this high scoring affair.
