College Football Week 9 Rankings - SEC Power Poll
by Mike Rose

After eight weeks of play in the college football betting season, several teams from the SEC have done well for sports bettors. Find out how BetUS rates them against each other in this week's college football power rankings...
1: Mississippi Rebels (5-2 ATS, 5-2 SU) (LW: 3) Ole Miss continued to pick itself off the mat after getting reamed by Alabama two weeks ago by beating Arkansas 30-17 last weekend. This weekend, there's a huge trap spot on the schedule, as trips to Jordan-Hare Stadium are never fun. If the Rebels have any hopes of playing for the SEC Championship, this game is a must.
Up Next: Away @ Auburn (-3)
2: South Carolina Gamecocks (5-3 ATS, 6-2 SU) (LW: 1) The Gamecocks were forced down to the wire by the Commodores, but ultimately, the Ol' Ball Coach found a way to pull the 'W' out of his hat. Still, after four covers to start the season, SC has only covered one of its L/4 with two incredibly difficult road trips coming up.
Up Next: Away @ Tennessee (+4.5)
3: Alabama Crimson Tide (5-3 ATS, 8-0 SU) (LW: 2) Speaking of teams that needed to go down to the wire... The Crimson Tide needed a blocked kick to hang on to beat Tennessee last week. There's a bye week on deck before the biggest game of the season at home against LSU. A loss in that one won't just knock the Tide from the top of the polls, it'll bounce them from the #1 spot in the SEC West as well.
Up Next: Bye
4: Tennessee Volunteers (4-3 ATS, 3-4 SU) (LW: 7) Once again, DC Lane Kiffin has to be looking at his son with a stern look which says, "When is your offense going to do my defense any favors?" The 'D' kept a good Alabama offense down on Saturday afternoon, but even though the Tide never reached the end zone, the offense only put 10 points on the board. Still, it was the second straight cover for the boys from Rocky Top, who are starting to become a real nuisance to the best teams in the SEC.
Up Next: Home vs. South Carolina (-4.5)
5: Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-3 ATS, 3-5 SU) (LW: 8) The Bulldogs stood toe to toe with the mighty Gators on Saturday afternoon, but ultimately, they just didn't have enough to pull the upset. If there's any hope for a bowl game in MSU's future, a victory against the Wildcats is a must on Halloween.
Up Next: Away @ Kentucky (+3.5)
6: Kentucky Wildcats (4-3 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 9) The Wildcats stomped Louisiana-Monroe last week 36-13, marking their second straight win and their third straight cover. There are two more home games on deck, both of which are very winnable games. There's no excuse not to be 6-3 going into Vanderbilt in three weeks.
Up Next: Home vs. Mississippi State (-3.5)
And the rest…
7: Arkansas Razorbacks (3-3 ATS, 3-4 SU) (LW: 4)
8: Florida Gators (3-3 ATS, 7-0 SU) (LW: 5)
9: Auburn Tigers (4-4 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 6)
10: Vanderbilt Commodores (3-4 ATS, 2-6 SU) (LW: 10)
11: LSU Tigers (3-4 ATS, 6-1 SU) (LW: 11)
12: Georgia Bulldogs (2-5 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 12)
