College Football Week 13 Rankings - Big 12 Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

The 2009 college football betting season continues with its final week of regular season play. Check out how BetUS stacks up this power conference heading in this week's college football power rankings…

1: Iowa State Cyclones (7-4 ATS, 6-6 SU) (LW: 2) Iowa State may have covered the spread against Missouri, but the SU loss is going to force “Cyclone Nation” to hold its breath regarding its potential bowl destination come December. A Kansas loss to Missouri or an Oklahoma State BCS berth will surely get the job done. Kansas State losing to Nebraska was paramount. Unfortunately, now all the Cyclones can do is watch, wait, and pray that they see their names on the bowl slate in a few weeks.

Up Next: End of Season

2: Kansas State Wildcats (7-4 ATS, 6-6 SU) (LW: 3) Nebraska may have won the battle for the Big XII North crown, but the Wildcats won the (betting) war. Their 17-3 loss in Lincoln not only ended the dreams for K-State of making the BCS, but it also ended its bowl dreams for '09. The Wildcats are going to be one of the many teams in this conference that are kicking themselves for coming up just one game shy of eligibility.

Up Next: End of Season

3: Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-4 ATS, 8-3 SU) (LW: 1) If there's a team that can throw a huge monkey wrench into the whole works of the BCS, it's Nebraska. If the Huskers can knock Texas off in the Big 12 Championship Game, it would end the Longhorns title hunt and thrust TCU into BCS Championship Game talks. But would that also end any hopes of Boise State making an elite bowl game? Before any of that goes down, the showdown with the rival Buffaloes is at hand. Too many scenarios; can we just get a playoff system already?!!

Up Next: Away @ Colorado (-9)

4: Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-4 ATS, 7-4 SU) (LW: 5) The Air Raid got a huge boost on Saturday afternoon when the Red Raiders absolutely beat the snot out of the once-mighty Sooners. The victory took care of years of frustration for Texas Tech against Oklahoma, and now it turns its attention to Baylor in the regular season finale.

Up Next: Away @ Baylor (-22.5)

5: Colorado Buffaloes (6-4 ATS, 3-8 SU) (LW: 6) Colorado gave a valiant effort on Thursday Night Football against Oklahoma State in Stillwater and nearly found a way to pull off the big upset that could've royally screwed up the BCS. The Buffs won't have a chance to screw with anything this week when Nebraska comes to town in what could be (and probably should be) HC Dan Hawkins' last game coached in Boulder.

Up Next: Home vs. Nebraska (+9)

6: Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-4-1 ATS, 9-2 SU) (LW: 4) Even though the Cowboys looked like garbage for the majority of their game against Colorado, they'll get a pass with QB Zac Robinson sidelined. Now, a trip to Norman could be all that separates Okie State from a date in the Fiesta Bowl. However, the Pokes haven't won in the “Bedlam Series” since 2002.

Up Next: Away @ Oklahoma (OTB)

And the rest…

7: Missouri Tigers (6-5 ATS, 7-4 SU) (LW: 7)

8: Texas Longhorns (5-5-1 ATS, 11-0 SU) (LW: 9)

9: Texas A&M Aggies (5-5-1 ATS, 6-5 SU) (LW: 11)

10: Baylor Bears (5-6 ATS, 4-7 SU) (LW: 8)

11: Oklahoma Sooners (4-6-1 ATS, 6-5 SU) (LW: 10)

12: Kansas Jayhawks (2-8 ATS, 5-6 SU) (LW: 12)
