College Football Week 12 Rankings - Big 12 Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

The 2009 college football gambling season continues with its twelfth week of play this week. Check out how BetUS stacks up this power conference heading in this week's college football power rankings…

1: Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-3 ATS, 7-3 SU) (LW: 3) The Huskers took care of business in a big way in Lawrence, winning 31-17 and assuring that this week's contest with Kansas State is for the right to take on Texas in the Big XII Championship Game. With three straight wins under its belt, Nebraska enters its home finale beaming with confidence.

Up Next: Home vs. Kansas State (-16.5)

2: Iowa State Cyclones (6-4 ATS, 6-5 SU) (LW: 5) Iowa State took care of its first problem on Saturday when it reached that critical six-win plateau. However, a 17-10 victory over Colorado isn't all that impressive and may not be enough to assure that the Cyclones go bowling. A win against Mizzou this week would remove all doubt if Kansas, Texas A&M, and Baylor all get to their sixth wins as well.

Up Next: Away @ Missouri (+13.5)

3: Kansas State Wildcats (6-4 ATS, 6-5 SU) (LW: 2) Even though Kansas State was reamed at home by Missouri on Saturday afternoon, it still controls its own destiny in the Big XII North. A victory in Lincoln would've been necessary one way or the other to win the division. That's not to say that the loss may not prove to be harmful, as a loss to the Huskers may leave K-State at home for the bowl season if enough Big XII teams reach six wins.

Up Next: Away @ Nebraska (+16.5)

4: Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-3-1 ATS, 8-2 SU) (LW: 6) Could Okie State be good enough to go to the BCS? With wins over these next two weeks, it's a very real possibility. The Pokes kept the guns down on Saturday night, holding Texas Tech's high-octane offense to just 17 points. A similar defensive effort should move them to 9-2 heading into the “Bedlam” series in two weeks.

Up Next: Home vs. Colorado (-15.5)

5: Texas Tech Red Raiders (5-4 ATS, 6-4 SU) (LW: 1) The Red Raiders lost out on a chance to improve their bowl positioning last week in Stillwater. The Big XII is tightly packed and there is still a lot to decide about who is going where in December and January. A victory at home against the Sooners would go a long way towards bringing T-Tech to a New Year's Day game.

Up Next: Home vs. Oklahoma (+6.5)

6: Colorado Buffaloes (5-4 ATS, 3-7 SU) (LW: 4) The Buffs now know that they're going to be staying home for the bowl season, and there's a possibility that they are the only team in the conference that doesn't have a December date on their schedule. Prospects weren't good anyway for Colorado, as these final two games are going to be incredibly difficult.

Up Next: Away @ Oklahoma State (+15.5)

And the rest…

7: Missouri Tigers (5-5 ATS, 6-4 SU) (LW: 8)
8: Baylor Bears (5-5 ATS, 4-6 SU) (LW: 9)
9: Texas Longhorns (4-5-1 ATS, 10-0 SU) (LW: 11)
10: Oklahoma Sooners (4-5-1 ATS, 6-4 SU) (LW: 10)
11: Texas A&M Aggies (4-5-1 ATS, 5-5 SU) (LW: 7)
12: Kansas Jayhawks (2-7 ATS, 5-5 SU) (LW: 12)
