College Football Betting – ACC Atlantic Power Poll
by Mike Rose

1: North Carolina State Wolfpack (7-2 ATS, 4-6 SU) The bowl hopes for the Wolfpack are still alive after opening up the season at just 2-6. They upset Wake Forest 21-17 last weekend and picked up their fifth straight cover in sports betting action. They’re a perfect 6-0 ATS in ACC play, and will hope that continues next week in Chapel Hill. NC State snapped a streak of five straight ATS defeats to the Tar Heels last season.
Next up: Away @ North Carolina (7-3)
2: Boston College Eagles (5-4 ATS, 7-3 SU) With the ACC having more bowl eligible teams than available slots, teams are all jockeying for position to assure themselves of a game in December or January. BC made a statement and probably locked up its bid by winning 27-17 in Tallahassee last weekend, and still control their own destiny for locking up the ACC Atlantic crown if they can close out the season with wins against Wake Forest and Maryland.
Next up: Away @ Wake Forest (6-4)
3: Maryland Terrapins (5-4 ATS, 7-3 SU) The Terps picked up a huge 17-15 ACC victory last weekend against the Tar Heels, and control their own destiny for a trip to Tampa Bay for the ACC title game. The perennial powerhouses from Florida State head to College Park this weekend, a place where they have pulled upset victories over the Noles in their L/2 visits.
Next up: Home vs. Florida State (7-3)
4: Florida State Seminoles (4-3-1 ATS, 7-3 SU) FSU held its own destiny for the ACC Atlantic crown for a few hours, but threw it away by losing 27-17 on homecoming against Boston College. A win against Maryland could put the Noles right back in the swing of things, but they’re going to need some help if they are going to play in their second ACC title game. They should be back at full strength this week after five receivers were suspended for the BC game.
Next up: Away @ Maryland (7-3)
5: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-6 ATS, 6-4 SU) Wake Forest had their chance to stay in the driver’s seat in the ACC Atlantic as well, but lost that right by losing to NC State 21-17 last weekend. Though they are already bowl eligible, they could need one more victory to send them bowling for certain, and will end ACC play this weekend against Boston College. The winner will still be in a position to win the crowded Atlantic, while the loser will be forced to hold its breath to see if it becomes bowl eligible.
Next up: Home vs. Boston College (7-3)
6: Clemson Tigers (2-6 ATS, 5-5 SU) It’s been a disappointing season for Clemson bettors at just 2-6 ATS, but after starting 0-5 ATS, they’ve now won in two out of the L/3 weeks after their 31-7 thrashing of Duke. They’re just 1-2 ATS in three road games this year, and will close out their road schedule with a game at Virginia; a game they have to win to keep their bowl hopes alive.
Next up: Away @ Louisville (5-5)
