NBA Playoff Props – Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls Game 3

NBA playoff betting action continues at the BetUS Sportsbook. There’s three games to night and multiple lines being offered for each. As part of my continued search for the best prop and other unorthodox NBA betting lines, here are my prop picks for tonight’s Bulls-Celtics tilt.
Prop: Paul Pierce Total Pts+Rebs+Asts
Line: Over 31.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists -130
Under 31.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists Ev
Paul Pierce has had a bit of a slow start to this postseason, with averages of 20.5pts, 7.5rebs and 3asts in the first two games. That’s a total of 31pts+rebs+asts. In the regular season he averaged the same 20.5pts to go with 5.6rebs and 3.6asts. That’s a total of 29.7. However, those totals were only on 37.5mpg, while he’s been playing 43.5mpg in the playoffs. If we prorate his regular season total pts+rebs+asts to those playoff minutes, we get 34.5.
In 4 regular seasons matchups with the Sixers, Pierce averaged only 31.5mpg, scoring 19ppg, grabbing 2.8rebs and 4.5asts. That’s a total of only 26.3, but adjusted to his playoff minutes, it’s a total of 36.3. As you can see, his per minute numbers are actually very good against the Sixers, even with the low rebounding number, which is definitely just an aberration.
Also consider that Paul will now shoulder more of the scoring and rebounding load with Garnett out.
Pick: Paul Pierce Total Points+Rebounds+Assists OVER 31.5 -130
Prop: Ray Allen Total Points
Line: Over 18.5 Points -115
Under 18.5 Points -115
Ray Ray had a monster comeback game in game two, dropping 30 after a disgusting 4 point performance in game one. He’s now averaging 17ppg for the series, in 39mpg. During the regular season he averaged 18.2ppg, but he only played 36.4mpg. If we adjust his regular season average to his playoff minutes, that’s an average of 19.5ppg.
Against the Bulls in the regular season, he scored 19.3ppg in only 33mpg. That’s a prorated ppg of 22.8. Allen obviously has no issue getting his shot off at a high percentage against Ben Gordon and Chicago’s other perimeter defenders. I think his game one performance was just a fluke.
Pick: Ray Allen Total Points OVER 18.5 -115
