NBA Eastern Conference Rundown – Raptors and Magic Are Best Plays for Friday

Orlando Magic -2 over INDIANA PACERS

The Magic have left the league spellbound with an 8-3 SU record, going 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games. They pose a serious matchup problem for any team that lacks serious size. With Jermaine O’Neal coming alive in Toronto, the Pacers are a left as a sharp shooting team with Jeff Forster as their only veritable big man. The line is tight because Indiana is 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 visits to Indiana, but this Pacers team doesn’t stack up well against the beefy Magic.

Houston Rockets -5 over WASHINGTON WIZARDS

As soon as I get on the Rockets bandwagon, Yao Ming comes up with a foot injury and Tracy McGrady’s knee goes bonkers. Can these guys play more than 50 games a season please? As frustrating as they are, the Wizards are absolutely no match for them. Washington’s offense is designed to run through Arenas, so until he comes back in the year 2015 the Wizards will continue to be a poor sports betting play.

TORONTO RAPTORS FANS -10 over Vince Carter’s Vagina

If anyone ever has the audacity to tell Toronto fans to “get over it” when it comes to Vince Carter, I will personally powerbomb them through their own desk. Anytime you get paid $80+ million, are beloved by a great fan base and surrounded by a management team that hoists you as a superstar and surrounds you with the best talent possible, and you unconscionably decide to start phoning in the games to force a trade and then get traded and evolve in to the best player in the league, you deserve to get called out (and have a ridiculously long run-own sentence dedicated in your name).

Vince loves to blow up against Toronto, but he’ll have trouble coming in to the pain to score on Bosh and O’Neal. Sick Anthony Parker on VC , just to ensure that his tampon never falls out, and you have a disaster in the making for New Jersey. Toronto is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against New Jersey so bet fair and tune in just to see how much Toronto hates Vince Carter. It’s a delightful amount of hatred.

Baron Davis +10.5 over ELTON BRAND

The Clippers are horrific against the spread, and the Sixers are one of the stronger teams to bet on at home. But I’m siding with the Clippers in this one for one reason only – Baron Davis has one chance this year to make Elton Brand pay for abandoning him in Crapsville. The Sixers are 8-2-1 ATS in their 10 game history with the Clipsters, so I’m obviously going against the grain here. Just don’t say I told you so. Vengeance is a cold hearted beast. Just ask my ex-girlfriends.

Charlotte Bobcats +8 over ATLANTA HAWKS

The Hawks have gone 1-4 ATS since losing to the Celtics and are without the services of Al Horford, whose ankle is not nearly as bad as people believe. He’ll be back. But for now, Okafor and the Bobcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games against Atlanta and have the scoring and size to overpower Atlanta on the road in an effort to cover.

New York Knicks -2 over MILWAUKEE BUCKS

The Bucks are surprisingly the third best team to bet on in the NBA. But against the Knicks, they are in deep trouble. Losing Charlie Villanueva and Michael Redd to minor injuries won’t help the brutal Bucks fend off a scoring frenzy from the league leader in points. That’s right, your New York Knickerbockers are the league’s most prolific scorers. Good luck, Milwaukee. It’s not like your life sucks anyways. Now you’re going to be losing to the Knicks.
