Ok, I’m sick and tired of basketball betting fans and self proclaimed sports betting gurus counting out the Spurs. Just like Detroit, they’re better than you think they are. Just because they’ve been a mainstay in the NBA Playoffs for years, it doesn’t mean that they’re all of a sudden going to grow old and whither away. If anything, it’s the exact opposite. They are the defending champions for goodness’ sakes!

The Lakers average 108.6 points per game, but the Lakers’ starters shot less than 50% on average. That’s not good considering how efficient San Antonio is on any given day. The Spurs dropped 103 points at home, throttling the Lakers by 19 points.

For those of you that think that the Lakers are going to roar back, “just because they’re pissed”, think again. Duncan’s crew is 23-18 ATS at home, and are playing a Lakers team that relies on its bench players and rookies to come up big on the road. Honestly, that just doesn’t happen in the NBA Playoffs. Rarely do you have role players and rookies emerging as playoff heroes on the road.

The Lakers are 2-4-1 ATS in their last 7 games, and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against San Antonio. San Antonio is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, while going 5-0 SU in their last 5 games at home. To say that the Lakers are simply going to walk in to the AT&T Center and stomp all over the Spurs is absurd.
