Okay BetUS NBA sports betting fanatics, with the 2008-09 regular season heading toward what promises to be a fast and furious finish in both conferences, it’s time for your handicapping homeboy’s regularly schedule NBA Weekly Review.

This week, I’ll get started in the Eastern Conference with the defending league champion, Boston Celtics (47-14 SU, 33-28 ATS).

The C’s have gone a respectable 6-4 over their last 10 games, playing most of them without emotional leader and defensive ace Kevin Garnett. Boston has managed to go an even 5-5 ATS over their L/10 and should be in tip-top shape once Garnett returns and newly acquired backup point guard Stephon Marbury gets his playing legs back.

The Cleveland Cavaliers (46-12 SU, 38-20 ATS) have been steady as a rock all season long and are 7-3 SU over their L/10 even if their 5-5 ATS record doesn’t leap off the page.

The Orlando Magic (43-16 SU, 37-21-1 ATS) have also gone 5-5 ATS over their L/10 while posting a 6-4 SU record during the span. Like the Celtics, I expect Orlando to pick up its play as the regular season heads toward its finish and veteran point guard Rafer Alston gets more acclimated with the Magic offense in the absence of all-star floor leader Jameer Nelson.

The Atlanta Hawks have been a disappointment for the most part, going just 4-6 SU and 5-5 ATS over its L/10. The Hawks have failed to capitalize on their stellar first round playoff loss to the Celtics in last season’s playoffs, but still have time to get their act together, though I don’t think it’s gonna happen at this point.

The Miami Heat (31-27 SU, 26-30-2 ATS) and Philadelphia 76ers (29-29 SU, 27-29-2 ATS) have both gone 5-5 SU over their L/10 while winning an unimpressive three and four times respectively against the spread.

The Detroit Pistons (29-29 SU, 25-33 ATS) have won two straight with Allen Iverson out of the lineup following an eight-game SU losing streak while the Milwaukee Bucks (29-33 SU, 35-25-2 ATS) round out the top eight in the east with a respectable 5-5 SU and 6-4 ATS record over its L/10.

In the Western Conference, the top-seeded L.A. Lakers, (48-12 SU, 31-29 ATS) have dropped two straight coming into the new week but have gone a solid 7-3 SU over their L/10, but just 4-6 ATS during the span.

The San Antonio Spurs, (39-19 SU, 29-27-2 ATS) have gone 6-4 SU and ATS over their L/10 playing several games without superstars, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, thanks to the wily contributions of all-star point guard Tony Parker.

The Denver Nuggets (39-21 SU, 32-27-1 ATS) have gone 5-5 SU and 4-6 ATS over their L/10 while the Houston Rockets (38-22 SU, 28-31-1 ATS) have gotten hot at the right time, going 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS over their L/10.

The young Portland Trailblazers (37-22 SU, 30-28 ATS) have also heated up nicely, going 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS over their L/10 while the New Orleans Hornets (36-22 SU23-33-2 ATS) have gone 6-4 SU but a pitiful 2-8 ATS during the same span.

The Utah Jazz (37-23 SU, 33-27 ATS) are the hottest team in all of basketball, going an impressive 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS over their last ten while the inconsistent Dallas Mavericks (36-23 SU, 28-31 ATS) have gone a solid 7-3 SU over the same span, but a maddening 5-5 ATS while alternating ATS wins and losses in each contest.
