Miami Heat (+ 22) vs. Detroit Pistons (- 22)
Tip-off: 8:05 pm est.
The Pistons just lost last night against a very tough Toronto Raptors team. Chris Bosh played well for the Raptors. So, the upset wasn’t as unprecedented as some might think. The bigger issue is whether or not the Pistons can cover this enormous BetUS spread. 22 points is a lot of points. The last time these two teams met the Pistons won by 5. Even though the Pistons do have a great at home record against the BetUS spread, going 22 and 13 so far this season, they’ve only gone 4 and 6 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games.

The Heat are just a bad team. Due to injuries, they are a horrible team. They’ve only won 13 games straight-up this season, but against the BetUS spreads the Heat have actually been very good lately. They’ve gone 7 and 3 in their last 10 games. They are also 16-18-1 against the BetUS spread in their away games this season. Here are more trends.
The Miami Heat are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games on the road.
The Miami Heat are 8 and 3 against the spread in their last 11 overall games.
The Detroit Pistons are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 4 games as a favorite.
The Under is 11 and 2 in the Detroit Pistons last 13 games playing on 0 days of rest.
The BetUS over/under in this game is 180 points. I do believe that this game will go under for two reasons. First, I just don’t think Miami has the guns, with Dwayne Wade and Shawn Marion on the bench, to put up a lot of points against the Pistons. Second, I believe that the Pistons, without Rip Hamilton and playing on 0 days of rest, will have trouble scoring more than 80 points or so against the Heat.
This game is between two defensive-minded squads. One doesn’t have the scorers on their team - - that would be Miami. The other is playing on 0 days of rest. That means under to me.
The main question is do we have another part of our bet for a two team parlay?
I think so. I just can’t believe that Detroit, after a game yesterday versus the Toronto Raptors, will beat the Miami Heat by 22 points. Yes, the Heat are devastated with injuries, but as the trends prove, they have been able to get past some of those injuries in order to beat BetUS spreads.
I see that happening tonight. There’s our parlay!
The BetUS NBA Betting line is Miami Heat + 22 against the spread on the road versus the Detroit Pistons.
I like the Heat to beat that spread. I also like the under 180 which will complete my two wager parlay.
