NBA Basketball Betting Cleveland Hosts Detroit

The Detroit Pistons, (48-18 SU, 36-29-1 ATS, 31-34-1 O/U), have won three straight games coming into tonight’s contest while showing they can win in a multitude of ways.

The normally, slow-paced Pistons put on their track shoes last night in routing the Denver Nuggets 136-120 to reach the 1300-point mark for the first time in eight years.

"That's the thing - we don't have to play one style," Pistons coach Flip Saunders said. "We went out and played San Antonio in a grind-it-out game, and this was a little different. We're not afraid to get out and run. We had 42 assists tonight. That's a lot of assists."

The Cleveland Cavaliers, (38-30 SU, 32-36 ATS, 33-33-2 O/U), are hoping to get on the same page after making a franchise-altering trade that brought them veterans Ben Wallace, Wally Sczerbiak and Delonte West.

The Cavaliers enter tonight’s contest coming off a 104-90 loss to the Orlando Magic that I correctly predicted in yesterday’s BetUS.com Sportsbook but have had to depend on superstar LeBron James to carry them through several victories.

"We had some careless turnovers," said James, who had three of Cleveland's 14 giveaways. "We definitely can't turn the ball over against a team like (Detroit)."

The Cavaliers are 6-4 in their last ten games but have dropped three of their last four contests while covering the spread in five of their last ten games.

Detroit is just 4-6 against the spread in their last ten games, but has covered the spread in three straight games.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my analysis and Basketball Betting Free Picks:

The Pistons are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games playing on zero days rest.

The Pistons are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games.

The Cavaliers are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 vs. NBA Central.

The Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games.

The Under is 10-1 in Pistons last eleven games playing on zero days rest.

The Under is 5-0 in Cavaliers last five home games.

The Under is 11-2 in the last 13 meetings in Cleveland.

The Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.

Analysis: The Pistons want the Cavaliers in the worst way and will get exactly what they’ve been waiting for tonight – a message-sending win over their eastern conference rivals.
