Bet on NBA Action - Cavaliers (- 4) vs. Supersonics (+ 4)

The Cavs are back! They’ve gone 7 and 3 against the spread in their last 10 games. That’s very, very good. The Sonics are still the Sonics. They can rise up and beat you against the spread once in a while, but it’s rare. In their last 10 games the Sonics have gone 5-4-1 against the spread.
Here are some trends:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games overall.
The Seattle Supersonics are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games as an UNDERDOG at home.
The HOME team is 5 and 0 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
The Seattle Supersonics are 0 and 5 against the spread in their last 5 games versus a team from the Eastern Conference.
This will be Cleveland’s third road game in a row. They just beat the Portland Trailblazers on the road by one point last night. The trip to Seattle shouldn’t take too much out of them, but I am worried about how much that one point win versus the Trailblazers took out the Cavs.
They’ve been coming on very strong lately. They’ve beaten both the Lakers and the Blazers in their last two games, both on the road, and both as underdogs. Do they “bounce” in this game against one of the worst teams in the NBA?
Seattle does have 10 wins on the season and those 10 wins did come against fellow NBA teams. Believe it or not most of Seattle’s ten wins have come in back-to-back games - - in other words, they win a game, then win another, and then go on a terrible losing streak.
Could that happen against tonight? Maybe, but I feel better about taking the points.
I do think that the Cavs, like the Hornets last night, are due for a letdown. It could happen tonight. Because of that I’m going with the Sonics.
