Young Bobcats Host Inconsistent Mavs

Despite winning their last game in the BetUS Sportsbook, the inconsistent Dallas Mavericks (3-7 SU, 3-7 ATS, 6-4 O/U) have plenty of on-court issues to deal with.

The young Charlotte Bobcats (3-6 SU, 5-4 ATS, 2-7 O/U) also have their share of troubles ailing them as Hall of Fame head coach Larry Brown tries to turn around a franchise that has been stuck in the mud for years now.

Dallas snapped a five-game losing streak and scored a season-high point total in its 124-114 victory over the rebuilding New York Knicks on Sunday to cover the spread as 1.5-point road favorites, but needed overtime to pull out the win.

Dirk Nowitzki led the struggling Mavericks and BetUS NBA sports betting members to a solid cover, scoring 39 points and grabbing 15 rebounds while enigmatic small forward Josh Howard added 31 points and 14 boards against the defenseless Knicks.

"We just told ourselves stay with it and get some big stops and offensively keep attacking," said Nowitzki, who said the skid felt like it lasted two or three months. "We had to get off this losing streak, so whatever I had to do, the team told me to keep shooting and play aggressively."

The Mavericks outscored the Knicks 12-2 in overtime, after falling apart in several contests in the fourth quarter this season.

"We've been playing some close games and the fourth quarter has been a problem for us," point guard Jason Kidd said. "This is a veteran group so nobody's panicked."

The Bobcats (3-6) are coming off a 90-85 road loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday and have dropped three of four overall.

Forward Gerald Wallace led Charlotte with 19 points while Adam Morrison and Raymond Felton each added 14 points.

Leading scorer, Jason Richardson may be available for this game following arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

NBA Odds

Dallas Mavericks -5½ -110

Charlotte Bobcats +5½ -110

Over 188½ -110

Under 188½ -110

Analysis: The Mavericks have been downright pitiful at times this season and have looked ‘scared’ at others. However, I am encouraging all BetUS NBA sports betting members to roll with Dallas as they pick up a solid victory over the struggling young Bobcats tonight.
