NBA Wednesday Night Preview - 3 Game Parlay

The season marches on with a busy schedule of NBA online betting set for Wednesday night. There are plenty of important matchups, including a couple divisional battles that could come into play at the end of the year. Here are a few of those games highlighting Wednesday's slate:

Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics

Things aren't going according to plan in Beantown. The Celtics are mired in a bit of a funk, picking up just two wins in their last five games – both coming over bottom-feeding New York and Golden State. Boston needed a buzzer-beating jumper from Kevin Garnett to knock off the Knicks in overtime Sunday. Local media is calling out the team's defensive intensity, which led the Celtics to a title two seasons ago. During this skid, Boston is allowing nearly 99 points a night, which is almost 10 points more than its season average.

Philadelphia will be coming off a road game against the Washington Wizards before moving up the coast to face the Celtics. Heading into Tuesday, the Sixers have dropped back-to-back games, most recently allowing LeBron James to score 32 points in a 97-91 loss to Cleveland Saturday. Philly needs more from its superstar, Andre Iguodala, if it wants to snap this skid. The high-flying forward has scored a total of 27 points in the past two defeats, shooting a combined 11-of-39 from the field and 1-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Miami Heat at Orlando Magic

Miami has had a few days off to reflect on its win over the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday. That victory snapped a three-game losing streak. Star guard Dwyane Wade is putting up MVP-worthy numbers again, scoring over 28 points and dishing out five assists per night. But it has been Wade's up-and-down shooting from outside that has helped and hurt the team. Wade has attempted 54 three-point field goals this year, hitting less than 30 percent of those attempts. He's known for big games against the Magic, scoring 42 and 50 points in his last two meetings with Orlando, respectively. However, that hasn't translated into wins. Miami lost both those meetings and failed to cover as an underdog in each game.

Orlando is the NBA's hottest team, winning five straight and covering the NBA point spread in four of those outings. The Magic have maintained their level of play despite losing point guard Jameer Nelson to a knee injury last week. Veteran point guard Jason Williams has stepped into the starting lineup, providing an average of nine points, 4.6 assist, and more than three rebounds since taking over the reigns. Orlando is 9-1 (7-2-1 ATS) in it last 10 meetings with its Florida rival.

Dallas Mavericks at Houston Rockets

The Mavericks will enter this Texas tussle after facing the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Heading into Tuesday, Dallas had won five games in a row and cashed in four of those outings. The Mavs have done a good job overcoming injuries to three of their toughest defenders, juggling the lineup and keeping at least one of their stars – Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, and Jason Terry – on the floor at all times. Dallas may have Shawn Marion back in the lineup after the versatile forward sat out the last two games with an ankle injury.

The Rockets are getting closer to returning one of their star players. Tracy McGrady was back at practice this week for the first time since undergoing microfracture surgery last February. T-Mac told reporters he feels like he can play. However, coach Rick Adelman has other plans. For now, Houston will continue to lean on Trevor Ariza and reserve forward Carl Landry. The Rockets have alternated wins and losses over their last 10 games, going 6-4 ATS in that span.
