2008-09 NBA Team Preview - Chicago Bulls Wagering

The Chicago Bulls, (33-49 SU, 36-46 ATS, 40-39-3 O/U) will be a team undergoing more change in 2008-09 after underachieving immensely in the BetUS Sportsbook last season.
Despite starting off the 2007-08 season as one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference, the Bulls got off to an atrocious start that prompted former head coach Scott Skiles to quit before midseason ever arrived.
Under the guidance of assistant head coach Jim Boylan, the Bulls continued their unimpressive play throughout the entire 2007-08 regular season to miss out on a playoff appearance altogether.
Not only did Chicago fail to impress on the court last season, but they also recorded an unimpressive losing wagering record, going 17-24 ATS at home and 19-22 ATS on the road.
While the Bulls finished in fourth place in the Eastern Conference’s Central division, the Bulls did manage to luck up in the NBA Draft lottery, earning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 draft.
Unfortunately, Bulls management botched, both, their new coaching hire and the first pick if you ask me.
Respected general manager John Paxson, unwisely chose a former player to lead the ‘new-look’ Bulls that has absolutely no career head coaching experience whatsoever in former NBA shooting guard Vinny Del Negro before passing on the draft’s most NBA-ready player in power forward Michael Beasley in favor of hometown point guard Derrick Rose, who may not even turn out to be the best point guard in the 2008 draft.
Now, the Bulls will head into the 2008-09 NBA betting season with a slew of talented young players like Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas, Aaron Gray and Thabo Sefalosha that need veteran leadership in the worst way, but don’t have anywhere to turn to get it as Boylan, now back in role as an assistant, has more NBA coaching experience than the entire Bulls’ staff alone.
Chicago was a middle-of-the-pack team both, offensively and defensively last season, averaging 97.3 points per game on offense, (18th) while allowing 100.4 points per contest defensively, (16th).
The Bulls are + 1100 to win the Eastern Conference and +2500 to win the NBA Championship in the BetUS Sportsbook.
