NASCAR Shelby 427 - Best Bets to Take the Checkered Flag

Everyone in the racing world wants to know if Matt Kenseth possibly keep this up. Currently #1 in the Power Rankings, Kenseth has come out of nowhere to win the first two races in the 2009 NASCAR season.
Should he win his third straight race, there’s no doubt that Kenseth’s odds in the BetUS online sportsbook will drop.
Let’s analayze the chances of Kenseth as well as a few other drivers to win this weekend’s race, the Shelby 427 in Las Vegas, NV.
NASCAR: Shelby 427 To Win
1. Jeff Gordon +700 - - Gordon finished second in last weekend’s race. This weekend he could possibly take charge early and never look back. He’s on the cusp and there’s no doubt that he will eventually win a race very soon. At odds of 7 to 1, he’s a logical choice in this.
2. Greg Biffle +700 - - Biffle has been driving very well to start off the season. Like Gordon, he’s on the cusp of a victory. The 7 to 1 odds are still good enough to consider Biffle for a bet.
3. Matt Kenseth +700 - - There’s no reason not to think about betting Kenseth at 7 to 1 after he has won the first two races of the season. He could put another victory into his column should things go his way yet again. I’m hesitant to make him my top choice because winning three NASCAR races in a row is very difficult to do.
4. Kyle Busch +600 - - Busch bounced back big time last week when he made a nice run to finish 3rd. He’s yet another one who could do something special in this race. At odds of 6 to 1, he’s still somewhat on the low side of things, but he’s definitely got a shot.
5. Carl Edwards +500 - - It’s only a matter of time before Edwards and Roush Racing begin to solidify themselves as one of the best teams in NASCAR. Could that be this weekend in the Shelby 427? Concrete Carl is the favorite in the BetUS online betting sportsbook. That should tell bettors something.
6. Jimmie Johnson +500 - - Jimmie’s odds have remained low even though history has shown that Team Johnson won’t start to really get into things until the run up to the Cup Chase. Jimmie’s a definite player in Las Vegas but will he have enough car to get there first?
Best Long Shots
Kurt Busch +2000 - - Like his younger brother, Kurt Busch has been driving good but not great in the first two races of the season. Also like his brother, it’s only a matter of time before he starts to win some of these races.
Juan Pablo Montoya +10000 - - Juan Pablo keeps getting better with every race. He’s on the cusp of finishing in the top ten. Once that happens, a victory could be forthcoming very soon.
Tony Stewart +2500 - - The odds are still very good on Smoke to pull out a victory. He’s finished in the top ten two races in a row. That’s the kind of consistency gamblers want when betting NASCAR. Smoke could take down the checkered flag at the Shelby 427 at nice odds.
