NASCAR Leaders
With just one race remaining in the 2008 Chase for the Sprint Cup, Jimmie Johnson is on the verge of joining Cale Yarborough as NASCAR's only other three-peat champion. In this business there's no such thing as a sports betting lock and it's never over until the fat lady sings. But online NASCAR betting fans can hear her warming up for Sunday's checkered flag in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Johnson enters Sunday's season finale owning a 141-point lead over second-place Carl Edwards. To join Yarborough as three-peat champion in the history books, all Johnson has to do is earn a 37th-place finish or better; lead a lap and finish 38th or higher; or lead the most laps and finish with a 39th-place run or better. Here's how the Chase field stands in points, including BetUS NASCAR odds to win Sunday's Ford 400 and each driver's career stats at Homestead.
