Last race, Tony Stewart finally broke into the win column this season after taking the checkered flag at Chicago, while moving up to sixth in the standings and now sits 482 behind point's leader Jeff Gordon.
Stewart won this event in 2005, followed up by an eighth place outing a year ago. He has five top-10s in eight starts at this track.
Stewart has more experience at Indy than any other driver in the field. He sat on the pole the first time he came to the Brickyard in 1996 but faded to 24th in the Indy 500. The next year, he also sat on the front row when he qualified second, only that day he finished fifth.
In addition to five Indy 500's, Stewart has also competed in four International Race of Champions (IROC) events, which gives him 17 career starts on this track. Combined, he's finished worse than 15th only three times and two of those poor races came at the start of his career in the open-wheel series.
Stewart owns three consecutive top-10 finishes at Indy, which is the longest current streak among all active drivers.
Stewart has just five top-5 finishes over the first 19 races this year and is one of the circuit's most inconsistent drivers, but he's notorious for being much stronger during the second half of the season. He has momentum and home field advantage on his side and will have a great chance to kiss the bricks on Sunday.
Sunday's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard Selection:
Tony Stewart +650 - To Win Outright
Year to date record following the USG Sheetrock 400: -$1490
A running total of records will be provided throughout the season graded on $100 (units) wagers. So buckle up and enjoy the ride all year long.
