The NASCAR betting community that's been supporting Hendrick Motorsports drivers in 2008 haven't cashed a winning ticket. But, if there is one track where Hendrick can earn a payday, it’s the paper clip-shaped short track of Martinsville Speedway, which is the site for Sunday's Goody's Cool Orange 500.

Last year, Jeff Gordon won six times, collected 10 poles (series-best) and was out of the top-10 in just eight races. He posted only one DNF all season. This year, the four-time champion already has two DNF's and just two top-10s.

Jimmie Johnson led the Sprint Cup series with 10 wins and finished in the top-10 in all but 14 races last season. But this campaign, he has just one top-10 finish. He has averaged a 20th-place finish over the last three races.

Johnson and Gordon are without a victory in 2008 and sit 13th and 14th in the standings, respectively.

But all that can change at Martinsville, which has been dominated by the Hendrick horses in recent history. Johnson, the two-time defending series champion, has won the last three races there, and Gordon leads all active drivers with seven wins at Martinsville.

Combined, the two Hendrick Motorsports drivers have won eight of the last 10 Martinsville events and have finished inside the top 10 in every race since 2003.

Also, they have both finished in the top five in each of the last five races and have combined to lead 62 percent of laps in the previous three races.

BetUS NASCAR odds have Johnson and Gordon co-favorites to win on Sunday at +500, and rightfully so. It's only a matter of time until Hendrick takes the checkers, making them a solid selection if you bet on NASCAR.

If you're looking for a slightly higher price, Kyle Busch (+700) or Tony Stewart (+750) could be your men.

Busch leads the series in points with 782 and has been strong all year. He took the checkers at Atlanta Motor Speedway and has collected top-5's and top-10 finishes.

He has finished in the top-5 in 50 percent of his Sprint Cup races at Martinsville. Busch has three top-5's and four top-10 finishes in six career starts there but has yet to find Victory Lane. Last year, he had a pair of fourth-place finishes at the track.

Stewart has yet to find Victory Lane this year but he's earned two top-5's and three top-10 finishes which is good for a seventh-place spot in the standings.

Stewart is a two-time winner at Martinsville (2000 and 2006). He was seventh in this race last year and 13th in the fall event. Stewart has six top- 5's and 10 top-10 finishes in 18 career starts at the half-mile track.

Martinsville Speedway is NASCAR's oldest and smallest track but the betting action will be immeasurable. If you wager on NASCAR, be sure to check out all the great odds, including the driver versus driver matchups. The green flag for the Goody's Cool Orange 500 waves at 2:15pm EST.
