Clint Bowyer drivers list
Bowyer was born on May 30, 1979 in Emporia, Kansas and is a member of Richard Childress Racing that drives a Chevrolet sponsored by Jack Daniel's. Bowyer made one Sprint Cup in 2005, finishing 22nd in April at Phoenix. After an impressive first full season in the Busch Series, Clint Bowyer drove the Richard Childress Racing No. 07 Chevrolet on the Cup circuit in 2006. His best year to date came in 2007 with a third-place finish in the standings.
Matt Kenseth drivers list
Kenseth was born on March 10, 1972 in Cambridge, Wisconsin. He is a member of Roush Racing and driver of the #17 Ford that's sponsored by DeWalt. Kenseth made his Sprint Cup debut in September 1998. His first victory came in 2000 in the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Kenseth won the title in 2003, the last year before NASCAR implemented its Chase for the Sprint Cup playoff format. In 2007, he finished fourth in points.
Kyle Busch drivers list
Busch was born on May 2, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada and drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in a Toyota. In 2005, the rookie made the Sprint Cup Series take notice with an impressive year that saw him become the youngest winner (in September at Fontana) and finish 20th in points. He won two races, had nine top-fives and 13 top-10s to easily win rookie of the year. Busch finished fifth in the points in 2007.
Tony Stewart drivers list
Stewart was born on May 20, 1971 in Columbus, Indiana and drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in a Toyota sponsored by The Home Depot. Stewart won five races in 2005 and led all Sprint Cup drivers in top-fives (17) and top-10s (25) en route to winning his second title in four years. His first championship came in 2002. Stewart won his first Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway in September 1999. After competing the first nine years of his career in a Chevrolet, Stewart will drive a Toyota in 2008.
Kurt Busch drivers list
Busch was born on August 4, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a member of Penske Racing and drives a Dodge sponsored by Miller Lite. Busch drove a limited Sprint Cup schedule in 2000, and that same season he finished in the top 20 in three of seven races. Busch joined the Sprint Cup series full time in 2001, running 35 of 36 races with three top-fives and six top-10s. He posted his first Sprint Cup victory at Bristol in the same year. In 2003, Busch claimed a championship by winning NASCAR's inaugural Chase for the Sprint Cup. After missing the Chase and finishing 16th in 2006 (the second-worst season finish of his Cup career), Busch rebounded to finish seventh in 2007.
Jeff Burton drivers list
Burton was born on June 29, 1967 in South Boston, Virginia. He is a member of Richard Childress Racing and driver of the #31 Chevrolet that's sponsored by AT&T Mobility. In July 1993 he made his Sprint Cup debut and while racing full time in 1994, Burton won Cup rookie of the year honors. Burton found Victory Lane for the first time at Texas in April 1997. He had a career-high six races in 1999 season.
Carl Edwards drivers list
Edwards was born on August 15, 1979 in Columbia, Missouri and is a member of Roush Fenway Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by Office Depot. Edwards came onto the Sprint Cup scene in 2005, winning four races including back-to-back victories at Atlanta and Texas late in the year. Because he had started 13 Sprint Cup races the previous year, Edwards was not eligible for rookie of the year honors.
Kevin Harvick drivers list
Harvick was born on December 8, 1975 in Bakersfield, California and drives for Richard Childress in a Chevrolet sponsored by Shell/Pennzoil. Harvick made his Sprint Cup Series debut in 2001 replacing Dale Earnhardt following the Daytona 500 tragedy. Driving the No. 29 Chevrolet, Harvick finished 14th at Rockingham the following week. He drove the rest of the Sprint Cup schedule that year, winning his first race, at Atlanta, in just his third start.
Martin Truex Jr drivers list
Truex Jr. was born on June 20, 1980 in Mayetta, New Jersey and is a member of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by Bass Pro Shops/Tracker. Truex Jr. competed in seven Sprint Cup races in 2005 before joining the series full time in 2006. His first Sprint Cup victory came on June 4, 2007 at Dover International Speedway.
Denny Hamlin drivers list
Hamlin was born on Nov. 18, 1980 in Chesterfield, Virginia. He is a member of Joe Gibbs Racing and driver of the #11 Toyota that's sponsored by FedEx. Hamlin made his Sprint Cup debut in the final seven races of the season in 2005. Hamlin posted three top-10 finishes and only twice he finished outside the top 20 during that span. Jamie McMurray drivers list
McMurray was born on June 3, 1976 in Joplin, Missouri and is a member of Roush Fenway Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by Crown Royal. McMurray won his first Sprint Cup race in just his second start, subbing for the injured Sterling Marlin in 2002. With the win he became just the 11th driver and first in the Modern Era (1972-present) to win a Sprint Cup race in his first or second start. In 2003, McMurray drove full time in the Cup series.
Ryan Newman drivers list
Newman was born on December 8, 1977 in South Bend, Indiana and is a member of Penske Racing and drives a Dodge sponsored by ALLTEL. From 2002 to 2006, Newman had 34 Sprint Cup poles to lead the series each year, earning the nickname "Rocketman." In September 2002, Newman won his first Sprint Cup race, at New Hampshire, starting from the pole. In the same year he claimed rookie of the year honors.
Bobby Labonte drivers list
Labonte was born on May 8, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas and is a member of Petty Enterprises and drives a Dodge sponsored by Cheerios/Betty Crocker. He is the only driver to win both a Busch Series and Sprint Cup Series championship. In 1993, Labonte ran his first full Sprint Cup season. From 1995-2003 he finished in the top 10 in points seven times, winning 21 races during that time span and the 2000 Sprint Cup championship. Labonte's first series victory came in May 1995 at Charlotte, the first of three wins that season.
Greg Biffle drivers list
Biffle was born on December 23, 1969 in Vancouver, Washington and is a member of Roush Fenway Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by Roush Fenway Racing. Biffle became the first driver to win championships in both the Craftsman Truck and Busch series before moving full time to Sprint Cup action in 2003. His only Sprint Cup win that season came in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona, making him one of just a few drivers to win a race in each of NASCAR's top three series.
JJ Yeley drivers list
Yeley was born on October 5, 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona and is a member of Hall of Fame Racing and drives a Toyota. In 2004, Yeley made his Busch Series debut, competing in 17 races. He finished with four top-10s that year. Yeley also made two Sprint Cup starts that season, finishing 27th in the fall race at Atlanta. Yeley joined the Sprint Cup series full time in 2006.
Elliott Sadler drivers list
Sadler was born on April 30, 1975 in Emporia, Virginia and is a member of Gillett Evernham Motorsports and drives a Dodge sponsored by Dodge Dealers/UAW. Sadler started his first full Busch Series season in 1997 by winning the pole in the season-opener at Daytona. Sadler finished eighth in the Busch standings in 1998 and made his Sprint Cup debut that year as well. In March 2001, Sadler won his first Cup race at Bristol.
David Stremme drivers list
Stremme was born on June 19, 1977 in South Bend, Indiana and is a member of Chip Ganassi Racing and drives a Dodge sponsored by Coors Light. Stremme had his first full season in the Sprint Cup series in 2006 after coming off his first full back-to-back Busch Series campaigns in which he finished 10th and 13th, respectively, in points. Stremme made four Sprint Cup starts in 2005, finishing 16th in his debut at Chicago.
Tony Raines drivers list
Raines was born on April 14, 1964 in LaPorte, Indiana and is a member of Hall of Fame Racing and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by DLP HDTV. Raines made his Sprint Cup debut in 2002. He ran full time in the series in 2003 and recorded the only top-10 of his career to that point, a sixth-place run in November at Rockingham.
Sterling Marlin drivers list
Marlin was born on June 30, 1957 in Franklin, Tennessee and is a member of Phoenix Racing and drives a Chevrolet. Marlin competed in the Sprint Cup series full time as a rookie in 1983. He finished 19th in points to win rookie of the year honors. Marlin won the Daytona 500 in 1994 which was his first Sprint Cup victory. In 1995, he again won the Daytona 500, becoming the first driver to make his first two career victories in the historic season-opening race. He also became just the third driver to win back-to-back Daytona 500s.
Reed Sorenson drivers list
Sorenson was born on Feb. 5, 1986 in Peachtree City, Georgia and is a member of Chip Ganassi Racing and drives a Dodge sponsored by Target. Sorenson made his Sprint Cub debut in 2005. He crashed in the fall race at Atlanta, then finished 28th in the season-finale at Homestead.
David Ragan drivers list
Ragan was born on December 24, 1985 in Unadilla, Georgia and is a member of Roush Fenway Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by AAA Insurance. Ragan competed in the Busch series before coming to the Sprint Cup series in 2007 to share driving duties with Mark Martin.
Casey Mears drivers list
Mears was born on March 12, 1978 in Bakersfield, California and is a member of Hendrick Motorsports and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by National Guard/GMAC. Mears made his NASCAR debut in a 2001 Busch Series race before hitting that circuit full time the following year. He came into the Sprint Cup series in 2003. His first series win came in 2007 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the Coca-Cola 600.
Jeff Green drivers list
Green was born on September 6, 1962 in Owensboro, Kentucky and is a member of Haas CNC Racing and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by Best Buy. With older brothers Mark and David competing in the Busch Series, Jeff got his first start in 1990, finishing 22nd at Richmond. Green raced a limited schedule the next four years, before making his first three Sprint Cup starts in 1994.
Kasey Kahne drivers list

Kyle Petty drivers list
Petty was born on June 2, 1960 in Randleman, North Carolina and is a member of Petty Enterprises and drives a Dodge sponsored by Wells Fargo. Petty comes from a long line of racers, from grandfather Lee to dad, King Richard. He began racing in the Sprint Cup series full time in 1981 and finished 12th in points with one top-five and 10 top-10s. In 1985, Petty finished ninth in points with seven top-fives and 12 top-10s and followed that in February 1986 with his first victory, at Richmond.
Robby Gordon drivers list
Gordon was born on Jan. 2, 1969 in Orange, California and is a member and owner of Robby Gordon Motorsports and drives a Ford sponsored by Monster Energy. He made his Sprint Cup debut in 1991, finishing 18th in the season-opening Daytona 500. In 2000, Gordon began his own team, but his first victory didn't come until the season-finale in 2001, when he came from the 31st starting position to win at Loudon. Gordon's best Sprint Cup season came in 2003, when he recorded two victories, four top-fives and 10 top-10s to finish 16th in the final point standings.
Joe Nemechek drivers list
Nemechek was born on September 26, 1963 in Lakeland, Florida and is a member of Furniture Row Racing and drives a Chevrolet. In 2005, Nemechek had one of his best seasons in the Sprint Cup series, finishing 16th in points and tying a career high with nine top-10s. His first victory came in September 1999 at New Hampshire.
David Gilliland drivers list
Gilliland was born on April 1, 1976 in Riverside, California and is a member of Yates Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by M&M's. Gilliland is the son of former Sprint Cup driver Butch Gilliland. Gilliland's first Sprint Cup race came at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. He qualified 31st and finished 32nd.
Ricky Rudd drivers list
Rudd was born on September 12, 1956 in Chesapeake, Virginia and is a member of Robert Yates Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by Snickers. Rudd is a veteran to racing who owns 23 Sprint Cup victories. He made his Sprint Cup debut in 1975, but it wasn't until 1981 that Rudd posted his first win. His best finish in the point's standing came in 1991 when his finished second.

Scott Riggs drivers list
Riggs was born on January 1, 1971 in Bahama, North Carolina and is a member of Haas CNC Racing and drives a Chevrolet. Riggs began racing motocross before making the move to stock cars. Brian Vickers drivers list
Vickers was born on Oct. 24, 1983 in Thomasville, North Carolina and is a member of Team Red Bull and drives a Toyota sponsored by Red Bull. Before coming onto the Sprint Cup scene 2004, Vickers was a regular in the Busch series. He won his first Busch race in August at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2003. Vickers won twice more that season and finished the year with 13 top-fives and 21 top-10s in 34 races en route to becoming the youngest champion in Busch history. Vickers collected his first Sprint Cup victory in 2006, after he emerged from a last-lap crash at Talladega.
Paul Menard drivers list
Menard was born on August 21, 1980 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and is a member of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by Sylvania/Menards. In 2004, Menard ran in the Busch series part-time, before scoring his first top-10 finish in the Sprint Cup series the following year. Menard won his first Busch Series race on June 24, 2006 at his home track of the Milwaukee Mile.
Kenny Wallace drivers list
Wallace was born on August 23, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri and is a member of Furniture Row Racing and drives a Chevrolet sponsored by Furniture Row Racing. In September 1988, Wallace made his first-ever NASCAR start, in which he finished eleventh in the Busch series race at Martinsville Speedway. In 1993, Wallace moved up to the Sprint Cup series full-time. He had three top-tens and a twenty-third place points finish that same year.
Ken Schrader drivers list
Schrader was born on May 29, 1955 in Fenton, Missouri and is a member of Wood Brothers/JTG Racing and drives a Ford sponsored by Motorcraft. In 1984, Schrader started five Sprint Cup races. He twice finished in the top 20, including a 17th-place run at North Wilkesboro in those appearances. The following year Schrader was in a full-time Sprint Cup ride. He scored three top-10s to become the top rookie of 1985. His first career Sprint Cup victory came in July 1988 at Talladega.
David Reutimann drivers list
Reutimann was born on March 2, 1970 in Zephyrhills, Florida and is a member of Michael Waltrip Racing and drives a Toyota sponsored by Burger King. In 2002, Reutimann made his Busch Series debut at Richmond International Raceway, when he started thirty-fourth but finished sixteenth. Reutimann moved up to the Sprint Cup Series in 2007.
AJ Allmendinger drivers list

Jeff Gordon drivers list Gordon was born on Aug. 4, 1971 in Vallejo, California. He is a member of Hendrick Motorsports and driver of the #24 Chevrolet that's sponsored by DuPont. He made his Sprint Cup debut in the final race of the 1992 season Gordon recorded his first Sprint Cup victory in the series' longest race, the Coca-Cola 600, in May 1994. In 1995, he claimed his first of four championships. Gordon won back-to-back titles in 1997-98 with 10 and 13 victories, respectively. In 1997, at age 25, he became the youngest winner of the Daytona 500. Gordon won his fourth championship in 2001 and finished second in 2007. |
