Sylvania 300 - The Chase is on!
Really? Jimmie Johnson won his second race in a row? And he did it so close to The Chase? Really? Well, yeah, online NASCAR betting fans didn’t really believe that Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards would continue their hot streak all the way up to The Chase and then into The Chase did they?
I always thought that Jimmie would turn it on the closer NASCAR got to the Sprint Cup Championship. Turn it on Jimmie has done finishing first in the past two races. But it’s not just Jimmie that online betting fans need to watch out for.
Jimmie’s teammate, Jeff Gordon, has turned it on lately as well. He hasn’t picked up a victory - - yet - - but he has finished in the top ten in the last three races in a row. Gordo has nine top five finishes this season. He appears to be gearing up like Jimmie for a run to the Sprint Cup Championship.
The Chase starts this weekend! It’s time for NASCAR betting fans to get serious.
This weekend is the Sylvania 300. The BetUS Sportsbook is offering online betting odds on every single driver. But, like always, there are only six that deserve mentioning.
Guess who number one is?
Sylvania 300 Best Online Betting Interests
1. Jeff Gordon - - online betting odds + 1400 - - Why Jeff? Because he’s starting to get that eye of the tiger again. He’s in The Chase. That means he can really concentrate on being the best driver out there. He doesn’t have to worry about playing it safe.
2. Jimmie Johnson - - online betting odds + 500 - - This is when Jimmie takes over. Hell, this is when Hendrick Motorsports takes over. As many things that have changed this season, Hendrick signing Jr., Tony Stewart leaving Gibbs Racing, Kyle Busch turning into the best driver on the NASCAR circuit, a lot of thing have stayed the same. It’s all about Jimmie and Jeff going into The Chase!
3. Carl Edwards - - online betting odds + 800 - - Carl has a chance to return to form in this race. He has fallen off some the past two weeks, but he’s too good of a driver and his crew is too much on their game for Carl to just fade away. I suspect that Carl has been keeping the bullets in his holster for the beginning of The Chase. Well, it’s here.
4. Clint Bowyer - - online betting odds + 1200 - - Clint won this race last season and he did it by taking an early lead and just running off with it. I like Clint to try the same tactics this season. Now that his spot in The Chase is secure, Bowyer can work to win the damn thing.
5. Kevin Harvick - - online betting odds + 1000 - - Harvick won a race on this track last season as well. It was touch and go with Kevin H. early this NASCAR season, but he proved that he’s a good driver. He still hasn’t hit his peak which means there’s a chance he could win this year’s Sprint Cup.
6. Kyle Busch - - online betting odds + 500 - - Two not so great races in a row from Kyle means that the other teams have caught up with him. His crew is great. He’s great. He’s dominated the entire season. But sometimes all of that isn’t enough. It wouldn’t pain me to see Kyle win the Sprint Cup, but I just don’t get the feeling that he’s quite ready yet.
Good Luck!
