Kyle Busch has finally clawed his way to the top of my online betting NASCAR Power Rankings. Why? Because that move he made at Talladega Superspeedway last Sunday was breathtaking. This guy is doing things in the car that a lot of folks thought there was no way for him to do.

The knock against Kyle has always been the idea that he can’t control his temper and therefore makes crazy moves on the track. Well, he made a slightly crazy move this past Sunday at Talladega and ended up winning the race because of it.

Jeff Gordon made a sinister move to the front of the pack, Kyle went up the track to block Gordon, and then came back down on the track to take the inside away from Juan Pablo Montoya. It wasn’t just a gutsy move it was incredibly deft move. It was the kind of move that drivers who are ready to win the Cup do.

That’s where Kyle is right now. At the top of the heap. My suggestion to BetUS online gamblers is to put money on Kyle right now at 6 to 1. The odds seem low, but there’s nobody driving better then Kyle Busch and now that Joe Gibbs can concentrate on NASCAR instead of those fellas in the helmets, I have a feeling that Kyle could keep it up all year.

NASCAR Great Eight

1. Kyle Busch - - His BetUS online wagering odds are 6 to 1 to win the Sprint Cup this year. I’m going to put some money on the kid right now. Busch is easily the top driver for Joe Gibbs Racing and the gutsy move he made to block Jeff Gordon was pure brilliance.

2. Jimmie Johnson - - The BetUS odds of 5 to 1 are low on Jimmie but he’s the only driver for Hendrick Motorsports that is doing anything right now. Dale Jr. has always been a tad overrated in my eyes. Jimmie on the other hand is a dynamite driver. BetUS online NASCAR bettors could do worse then taking Jimmie Jonson and the three-peat at 5 to 1.

3. Denny Hamlin - - Denny’s BetUS odds are at 8 to 1 right now. He’s as hungry for the Cup as Busch. Joe Gibbs racing is running better then any other team in NASCAR right now and Hamlin is actually driving better then Gibbs’ number one driver for so long - - Tony Stewart.

4. Carl Edwards - - At 6 to 1 Edwards is a good wager at this point in the season Roush Racing has made a decided effort to win the Cup this year and Edwards is their best driver. He’ll bounce back from a couple of so-so recent starts.

5. Kevin Harvick - - He’s driving better than either Gordon or Earnhardt Jr. and the BetUS online betting odds of 15 to 1 on this guy to win the Cup are still nice and juicy. Harvick has the talent. His car has to catch up to him.

6. Jeff Gordon - - I like his betting odds of 7 to 1 to take down the Cup, but I have to admit that the way he sort of just fell back after Kyle blocked him was somewhat disheartening. Gordon needs to find his inner a-hole. The guy that wakes up every morning and shows folks what a great driver he is. He’s not driving with the same amount of passion that I’ve seen from him in the past. I don’t know what’s wrong but he better figure it out quickly.

7. Tony Stewart - - Talk about a guy who isn’t driving with any passion. What’s up with Tony the Tiger? He’s done nothing but meow all year. I’m waiting for this guy to go crazy a bit. Maybe, his attitude has gotten as soft as his stomach. Tony better turn things around. The odds on Tony to win the Cup, 6 to 1, aren’t even close to what I really think about his chances right now. He’s a 15 to 1 guy for sure at this point in the season.

8. Dale Earnhardt Jr. - - The money keeps flowing in on Dale. I don’t get it. I may never get it. This guy is going off at BetUS online sportsbook odds of 9 to 2. Are you kidding me? It ain’t the car, Dale fans. It’s the driver. Dale will not win the Cup. He may never win the Cup. He just isn’t as good of a driver as a lot of these other guys. Sorry, but the truth hurts.
