After squeaking by the Kansas City Royals, (25-40, 29-36 RL) 6-5 on Tuesday night, the Texas Rangers, (33-33, 35-31 RL) enter tonight’s sports betting matchup looking to pick up their third consecutive victory in the BetUS online sports wagering Sportsbook – and will likely stand an excellent chance of accomplishing their goal by sending flame-throwing right-hander Vicente Padilla, (7-3, 3.73 ERA) to the mound looking to bounce back from a loss in his last start, though he didn’t pitch particularly bad in allowing three runs on five hits in six innings of the Rangers’ 12-4 home loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday.
"Padilla was going well, then he gave up the two homers and the wild pitch," Rangers manager Ron Washington said.
Padilla however, has been a revelation for the Rangers this season, finally fulfilling much of the promise that was predicted for him when he was a young phenom pitching for the Philadelphia Phillies nearly a decade ago.
While the BetUS online sports wagering community should know that Padilla has been nearly automatic this season, the Royals are struggling in a big way and have dropped three of their last four games in the BetUS Sportsbook and has gone an absolutely awful 4-18 in its last 22 games.
"This is a tough one," Royals manager Trey Hillman said. "We didn't do too many things right at the end when it counted with the error obviously. The defensive miscue led to four unearned runs."
The Royals will turn to young right-hander Kyle Davies (2-0, 1.54), who is succeeding despite the Royals’ failures, having won each of his last two starts since being called up from Triple-A Omaha on May 31.
"He was great. Both his starts since he's come up, he's been very, very composed," Hillman said.
Davies limited the New York Yankees to just one run on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings of a 2-1 road win on Friday.
BetUS online MLB gamblers who like to wager on MLB baseball should also know that Davies is 0-3 against the Rangers in his career, with an astronomical 8.03 ERA.
On Tuesday, the Rangers got a big boost from the returns of all-star shortstop Michael Young and AL- home run leader Josh Hamilton.
Here is a look at tonight’s key online sports wagering trends followed by my analysis and MLB online betting Free Picks:
The Rangers are 5-0 in Padilla’s last five starts during game two of a series.
The Rangers are 4-0 in Padilla’s last four road starts.
The Royals are 3-7 in Davies' last ten starts on grass.
The Royals are 1-4 in Davies' last five home starts.
The Over is 17-4-2 in Padilla’s last 23 starts following a team loss in their previous game.
The Under is 4-1 in Davies' last five starts with four days of rest.
The Rangers are 4-1 in the last five meetings.
The Rangers are 0-4 in the last four meetings in Kansas City.
Analysis: All the cards are in the Rangers’ hands for this contest as they have the edge on the mound and at the plate. Take the Rangers to crush the Royals tonight.
