BetUS MLB baseball betting odds: Milwaukee -125, Washington +105; Total 9.5
The Milwaukee Brewers (22-25) will try to get closer to the .500 mark on Friday night when they visit the nation's capital to play the Washington Nationals (20-28) in NL action that is set to get underway at 7:35 PM ET at Nationals Park (natural turf).
Right-hander Jeff Suppan (2-3, 4.79 ERA) gets the start for Milwaukee, while Washington will go with southpaw Odalis Perez (1-4, 4.34 ERA).
At BetUS online sportsbook, Milwaukee is listed as a -125 favorite (Washington is +105), with a total of 9.5 runs (the Over is -115, while the Under is -105).
Here are some of the MLB Baseball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* MIL has lost six of its last eight games
* MIL has lost 10 of its last 12 road games
* WASH has lost four of its last six games
* WASH has played six of its last eight games UNDER the total
* WASH has lost five of its last six home games
In the HEAD-TO-HEAD MLB betting trends:
* MIL has won four of the last six meetings
* WASH has won four of the last five meetings as the home team
* Ten of the last 15 meetings in Washington have gone UNDER the total
There is a separation between the top and bottom of the National League's Central division, and the Brewers have found themselves falling sis games behind the division-leading Chicago Cubs. And Washington has been behind the pack for most of the season, now eight games in back of Florida in the NL East. Last night Ryan Howard went bombs away on them in a 12-2 Phillies win, hitting two homers. Washington has scored eight runs in its last four games.

Tonight they go with Odalis Perez, who has been hit hard lately. In his last two starts, he's surrendered 22 hits and ten earned runs in 11-1/3 innings. Before that, he had been effective, yielding no more than three runs in seven of his eight outings. His recent history against this opponent hasn't been bad, as he's posted a 2.49 ERA in his last four meetings with the Brewers.
Jeff Suppan has been hot and cold. Last time out he gave up four runs in six innings against the Red Sox. But right before that, he gave up just six hits and one run in seven innings against the Cardinals.
Washington's scoring level at home is 15th in the National League, and the Nationals' home ERA is dead last. That's not a good combination. And even though Milwaukee has lost ten of its last 12 road games, the Brewers have posted an 8-5 record against left-handed starters. As such, maybe there's a bit of value in going against the home team. We'll do that and lay -125 on Milwaukee in the BetUS Major League Baseball betting odds.
