MLB Sunday Afternoon Betting - Dodgers vs. Angels

This could be a very interesting interleague sports betting game as the Dodgers send out Brad Penny and the Angels send out Jered Weaver. Both guys are considered two of the top pitchers in their respective teams’ rotations. That means that perhaps Joe Torre isn’t going to throw this interleague online betting game. He might want to take at least one of these things, right? Just to keep his team on their toes? Brad Penny has had nothing but bad luck all season. His ERA is 5.09 and his record is 5 and 4. It wouldn’t be fair, however, to put all of Penny’s troubles squarely on his shoulders. He rarely ever gets the run support that he needs in order to pitch a good game. Eventually, the lack of run support will work on a pitcher’s mind. It doesn’t help BetUS online betting fans looking to make a score on Brad either!
Jered Weaver, for the Los Angeles Angels, doesn’t always get the needed run support either. His record is 2 and 5 on the season. His ERA is 4.86. Weaver’s last start was the best of the season, though. That should help us in figuring out where to go with our online wagers in this game.

The Los Angeles Angels are 10 and 1 in their last 11 interleague games at home.
The Los Angeles Angels are 7 and 1 in their last 8 games versus a team from the N.L. West Division.
I have a feeling that the Angels will win both the Friday and Saturday game in this series. That means that if the Dodgers are going to prevent the sweep, they will have to win this game.
Who knows how the BetUS online betting odds will shake-out, but I do think that there is a good chance that Penny will be either a slight underdog or a very, very, very slight favorite in this game.
Penny might enjoy pitching against his cross-town, interleague rivals, and I do believe that manager Joe Torre will want to keep his team focused before heading back into National League play.
All of these reasons lead me to the conclusion that the best online wager in this game is going to be on the Dodgers to beat the Angels straight-up. No matter what the odds, I’ll be betting on the Dodgers.
